We are and now were customers of El Tropiko but on this particular morning we had breakfast at home. The morning begins, with an empty tank of gas, we stopped at the Shell Gas Station next door to the restaurant to get gas and my son needed to use the restroom but couldn't wait any longer. The clerk at Shell couldn't find the key to the restroom and recommended we use the one next door at El Tropiko. Good idea...since my son is dancing trying to hold it. We walk over to the restaurant and he finds the restroom. While I'm waiting the restaurant owner is upset with me because he does not offer public restrooms. I explained, that there wasn't a posted sign about this. He said "Since we were not paying customers we couldn't use the restroom." I explained that I am a customer and have purchased food from him in the past but had breakfast this day and my son really needed to use the restroom, what am I supposed to do, I almost had no choice. Adults can hold it longer than children. He began to argue with me and get me upset, he wouldn't let it pass since my son had already used the restroom and at one point he said "I DON'T GO TO YOUR HOUSE AND PEE ON IT" that my Sir is a threat to my family and just plain rude...You're the meanest man I ever met. We were basically kicked out of the restaurant. I will never buy from this place again and I will tell everyone about this horrible experience. On the way to camp my son was crying because he feels terrible about causing a lot of trouble. ***My message to the owner, You should have let the 7 year old use the restroom, you could have allowed it this one time, it really isn't worth the grief you caused me, my son, your only dining customer and your business. And thank you for letting my son use the restroom, Sincerely, San Antonio Mom***
The tacos are just OKAY...in my opinion. I won't be missing anything.
