  Not Too Many Around Like Clay's Machine Shop

  Clay's Auto Parts & Machine Shop is very rare to find these days. This is a family owned company that cares about the work they accomplish and that the customer is satisfied. Have you ever heard of an owner driving 46 miles to come check out problem with part you had machined. Most would tell you to pull the engine and bring it back in. Even more rare is this person had his own family emergency going on and he still drove out to look at our problem. We had talked several times over the phone going over what the problem could be;however we could just not see it. Clay showed up and he caught our mistake instantly. If you need a machine shop or any kind of auto parts this is the place to go as this man and his company are very knowledgeable,patient and will go that extra mile to insure their product.

  Clay's auto parts is kinda like Cheers without the beer. It is family owned and they treat you like family. I had a pretty rare car and they would always try to help me find the parts that I needed- and would spend extra time trying to find it at a good price! I've also had machine work done there also and the work was top notch. To be family owned, they don't mom & pop you; If they say your parts are going to be there this day or the work will be one that day... you can take it to the bank! They also don't mind sharing their years of knowledge, troubleshooting tips /tricks, and even a few racing stories. PLUS, You get top notch quality without being taken to the cleaners... Now if they would only rebuild my Cadillac HT4100 motor! lol (not one of Cadillac's best motors...) I knew that they were good when another mechanic that I bought a car from mentioned that he had taken his machine work there before I mentioned knowing the place.

  My family has been doing business with Clays auto parts for over ten years. The people that work on the counter are very knowledgeable and do not rely on computer calalogs only. They have many old catalogs and well give it their best to locate a hard to find part. Clays is one of the few old part stores and machine shops left in town. It is a nice mom and pops store with stools to sit on and chat, ask questions, or order parts. They have a full machine shop with lots of experience on performance, old engines, or the newer imports.They employees work together like a family.

  Clays automotive is great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Family owned and operated. Large inventory so waiting on parts is not too bad.
