Children's Dentistry at Hausman Village

I have been bringing my son here for over a year and he has dental issues. Dr. Hernandez has always been professional and courteous with my children. My experience has been that She always tries to choose the most conservative approach. My daughter is a hard one to handle and Dr. Hernandez was very kind to her. Her staff have been easy to work with and as for my billing...they have always disclosed accurately to me. I would highly recommend her dental office.

Not only was Dr. Hernandez rude and abrasive to my 3 year old daughter, her office staff had absolutely no honesty or integrity when it came to billing my insurance company. The rude and rough approach of Dr. Hernandez frightened my daughter so much, my poor kid is now traumatized about visiting any dentist (even our new, much better dentist). Whats more, the office staff never once adhered to my insurance co-pay schedule and claimed that I owed extra exam fees for ridiculous things like special x-rays. Talk about squeezing blood from a stone - these folks are pros! To be certain, I called my insurer and discussed the issue. Long story short, Dr. Hernandez was billing us incorrectly for several procedures but still refused to reverse the charges or even try to be honest with us. How ridiculous and money-hungry can they get! I fully plan to file the appropriate complaints against Dr. Hernandez with both my insurance company and the BBB for what I'm convinced is fraud, abuse and poor business practices. Bottom line, she’ll be rude to your child, ruin your kid’s trust in dentistry and squeeze your wallet for every dime she can. This is San Antonio – find another dentist, you have choices!

This is the worst pediatric dentist in all of San Antonio!!! I have lived here for 7 years and have tried 3 pediatric dentists. Dr. Hernandez is by far the worst one. I went to her because I had to find a dentist for my children. Since her office opened up so close to where I live, I decided to try her. What a HUGE mistake! It took the dentist less than 5 min. to clean both my children's teeth and on top of that she took x-rays without my knowledge. When I went to switch dentists, I found out that she took so many needless xrays that my insurance would not cover anymore for the rest of the year!!!! NOT ONLY THAT, when I went back to her office to request those x-rays, she said I had to PAY for them!!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this dentist to even my worst enemy!!!!!

If you love your sanity and your children, DO NOT, I repeat.....DO NOT take your children to this Dentist. I have never written a review or been so determined to share my experience with as many people as I could, but in this case, there is no way that I could stand by any let any one take the chance of experiencing the same horrors as me and my family have as patients of Dr Hernandez. It even pains me to call her a Dr as the title is not deserved. I couldn't even begin to describe the horror and trauma that has been experienced and it involves EVERY employee of this office. This was BY FAR the worst experience I have ever had at a medical or any other office. PLEASE take my advice. Stay away. The staff is beyond rude and incompetent. The doctor is a nutjob and I'm sure the staff learned all about treating people badly from her. They are disorganized, unprofessional and laughable all at once. SPARE YOURSELF the pain and DO NOT trust these people with your children.
