Club lacks a young attractive crowd. Very Old school.
I'm amazed the last reviewer is taken so much by this club. Most of us that are in the know about this nightclub are very aware that this used to be a nice bar. But that was when J.R. the ex-owner was running the joint. The problem is that J.R is gone and his partner Sam is now the sole owner which has turned into a major problem for this establishment. The club lost something special that actually made this club tick and gave it a touch of class. JR, DJ George Bratton and the original wait and bartending staff were the true class acts at this establishment.
Yes the club has still got a little kick left in it, like on Saturdays, but every other night is dead as a door nail. Some people do continue to patronize this club, But let?s be real, it?s never going to be what it used to be. The first few years when J.R. owned the club it had a line of patrons standing around the building. But this club no longer has the same appeal or ambiance it once did. All you have now are memories, ask any of the original patrons and they will say the same thing, it simply does not feel like it once did. The new DJ is boring and plays the same music all the time. The staff walk?s around almost like zombies who are forced to work at this club because they have no other choice. The owner is always walking bragging to anyone who will listen, that he own's the club, like it?s a symbol he should be proud of, Jesus what a joke this dude is. Last time I was there I felt so uncomfortable. I?m 30 and it still felt like I did not fit in. It looks like 60 and up is the majority at this club now. Many people who were regulars when it opened do not hang here anymore after J.R left. So I have to admit that maybe we were just fans of the ex owner and the old Bogeys and this is definitely
not the club we once new and loved.
