Absolutely horrible place! Buyers Beware!
Owner is rude and arrogant and changes the prices even after you paid for the order based on whatever she feels she wants the prices to be. She knows if they are for an event she can do it because you pick the flowers up prior to an event so she knows she can gauge you because you have to have the flowers. Employees don't stick around for more than 2 weeks and you don't get what you order and yes there is a lame excuse for that as well. Stay away!

Called to ask about Black Pearl roses because Travis dropped the ball and the wedding is in two days...
"There are no such thing as black roses - they are sprayed to look that way!" the woman annoyingly barked into the phone. Seriously, that was what I got when I asked, so I tried to be polite and let her know that it is actually a dark red variety with darker edges on the petals. "Those are called Black Magic here in Texas, and you won't find any in town because they are a special order" she said, continuing to bite my head off. I don't know why she felt the attitude was necessary, but it cured me from EVER going to Best Wholesale in the future.
FYI ma'am, there IS a dark red rose called Black Pearl AND a DIFFERENT one called Black Magic. Yes they are both special order, but some of the BETTER flower houses sometimes have them on hand. In fact, I'm leaving in a minute to head over to San Antonio Flower Co. to pick up 75.

Best Wholesale has a great selection of the most beautiful fresh cut flowers and plants at prices better than anywhere else I have seen in San Antonio! Their customer service is great and Lucy is very helpful!

I recently needed flowers for my nephew's wedding. We had a budget and couldn't afford the $7000.00 a florest would have charged. I was told to go to Best Wholesale. Boy, was I glad. I found over 35 different kinds of roses to choose from. Every employee I spoke with was a designer and very informative on suggestions for my wedding. They sold everything from flowers, vases to candle and at wholesale prices. Not to mention the beautiful year round Christmas room and antique shop. My wedding was a success with all their help. Everyone thought we had hired a florest to do the work. If you want a one stop shop, Allen's is the place. I'll forever be their customer for all my floral and gift needs.
