Success! Thanks for posting your review of Barbecue Station Restaurant & Catering. You’ve done the world some good today.

Had an appetite for BBQ and was told this was the Best in the area. By NO meas so. The creamed corn was OK. The brisket was Terrible! It was far too salty, tough, and cold. Besides that it was expensive. A small portion for my wife and myself $15,50 with no drink. And the noise was ear shattering.

Perfect lunch!

My wife and I were traveling through San Antonio and stopped in for lunch. It was quick and delicious. The Wallet Watcher's Special was just the right amount if food for lunch. We were in and out in 25 minutes. My brisket was tender with a nice smoke ring. My wife's sausage was very flavorful. The sides were also good. And there was nothing wrong with the ambience. It is a quaint restaurant with great food! Only thi... view more

Very good

I went here for lunch. I had the Wallet Watcher's Special with brisket, pinto beans and green beans and it came with a drink. It was reasonably priced at $5.59. The service was excellent. The food was served very quickly. I liked the all you can eat serve yourself pinto beans. The brisket was average. The BBQ sauce was good and they kept a bottle on the table which is awesome! The green beans ... view more

No way this place is anything other than THE BEST

I just don't get the nay-sayers. If you go to the Barbecue Station be prepared for the finest barbecue anywhere. Particular standouts are the Brisket and Chicken (and I am usually not all that fired up about BBQ Chicken). The Brisket has just the right combination of seasonings and smoke. I'm not sure what wood or combination of wood they use, but it is the signature flavor that brisket is supposed to have. Anything ... view more

THIS is barbeque.

I've eaten BBQ from the Panhandle to East Texas to Galveston to Austin to Corpus and the Valley to West Texas and the BBQ Station is one of the top 5 (maybe 2) in the state, especially the pork ribs. The brisket is fabulous too.

BBQ Station Is Over Rated

From the moment we walked in the smell of BBQ was in the air, and that is not a bad thing. Trying to read the menu at the walk up counter was difficult due to the dim lighting. My wife and I had the combo plates. She had the brisket and sausage. Both those meats were OK. I had the brisket and the pork tenderloin. The loin is suposed to be lean but this loin was dry to the point I had to literally douse it in the BBQ ... view more

Run Away!

The previous reviews of this place were confusing, lots of pros and lots of cons. We were looking for a nearby alternate 'cue place, and decided to give the Station a try. Outside the place are several planters filled with empty beer bottles and other unsavory trash, still, we went in. Inside smelled appropriately smoky for this type of establishment, and we were greeted warmly by the man behind the counter. All of u... view more
