Bandera Modern Dentistry

I'm not sure why everyone else has a problem with this office but they have always been very welcoming to me and my family. Every time I've gone in for cleanings and couldn't get a sitter the office staff would keep an eye on my kids. Dr. Leslie explains everything clearly and if something comes up, we work on a care plan together.

I will never go back or recommend this practice to anyone. Talk about horrible experience. I felt as if numbers were being shoved down my throat and they were offering and wanting to charge me for services I didn't even need. I spent 2 hours in that office and NOTHING but X-Rays were completed. All I wanted was a basic cleaning and they gave me an estimate of over $200 for my cleaning and other services I didn't need. I've never had to pay over $20 at any dentist office. I was so upset I literally just walked out. Oh and their Office Manager is a joke. I went back to my regular dentist and didnt pay a penny.

I'm not one to post reviews, but this was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever been through.

Due to my insurance change, I had to find a new dentist. I made my first appointment with Bandera Modern Dentistry. During that appointment, they tried to sell me services I didn't want; I refused all but basic dental cleaning. Apparently they were not happy with me since I rejected those services they recommended to do, that hygienist rarely spoke to me during the whole cleaning process, acted very cold and indifferent. And later on, they kept putting off my second appointment by calling me to cancel it or move it to another date; the excuses were the hygienist was not available or had a special meeting on that day though the appointment was already made ahead of time. They were rude and cold and not welcoming me as a new patient all after I rejected using the extra services they asked me to. Guess what? A few months later, I got a new insurance and was able to go back to my previous dentist whom and whose staff I like very much, and they never asked me to do those services this dental office wanted me to do. I'm glad that I rejected those unnecessary services and saved money! So be aware of extra unnecessary services and the risk of being discriminated by the staff once you said no to those services.

I have never experienced a "professional" practice as incompetent as this one. My husband and two children were clients here for two years and nearly every appointment we ever had was rescheduled by them. For a routine cleaning plan to be there at least 2 hours, the first hour of which will be in the waiting room. They double billed my insurance for my son's last appointment, and when I called the office about it was told multiple times that someone would call me "right back" to discuss. NEVER got a call back. The final straw, however, came this morning when I pulled my 6 year old out of school for his and my 3 year old's 6-month cleaning that was scheduled 6 months ago. I had gotten a babysitter for my 1 year old, and brought my 3 week old with me. We showed up 5 minutes early to find that the doctor would not be coming in on Tuesdays or Wednesdays anymore, and we needed to reschedule. They claimed to try to reach me, but they have both my husband and I's email addresses and phone numbers, and neither I or my husband received a single call, email, or text, except for an email reminder stating the original time and date we had scheduled. If you have large amounts of time to waste driving to dentists to be turned away and rescheduling every appointment you make, this is the place for you. If not, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for dental care.
