Contrary to the other reviews I want to say that Alamo City Auto Spa is Excellent in both how they do their car wash work and their custer service! I'll bet each of those very negative reviews was written by the same disgruntled former employee. I take my Acura and Lexus there every week and each time all the employees' attention to detail is obvious. I've been going there for 2 years after previously having memberships at The Wash Tub. Alamo City Auto Spa is much better! Thanks to the manager Herman, assistant Jeremy, and to Heather, Don and the other folks who have cleaned my cars so well!
The general manager of this place, Herman Schwartz, is the biggest JERK on this planet! He was extremely threatening and derogatory and I would not give this business one red cent. To top it all off, the car wash is horrible and it sucks!! Just go down about 1/2 mile on the access road of 1604 and take your vehicle to The Wash Tub. Great service and a helluva lot better car wash!
My mother, who is an elderly woman, took her car to have it cleaned. Upon getting home, she discovered a marijuana pipe in her back seat. Mind you, this is a 75 year old lady. When management was confronted, they actually said that it was not from any of their employees and explicitly said "it must have been yours!" WHAT?!?!?!? Well, upon hearing this, my mother and I were absolutely furious!! Being that we are both lawyers and I have my own firm, I immediately put a lawsuit in action against the Auto Spa, the details which I will not discuss. After reading some of the other reviews posted for this place, it appears that they have the blind leading the blind over there. The only positive review I saw was a guy who was all cheery about the fact they have air hoses. Nothing about customer service, cleanliness of the car or anything relating to a positively operated business. And there are 2 posts from former employees that both reference the large percentage of employees who are actually working while under the influence!!!! Obviously, there is no pre-employment drug screening and they are just asking for either someone to get hurt or damage a customer's car which would take that whole place under. Anyways, I have spread the word to my neighbors as a majority of us own foreign vehicles and most certainly would not trust this place to clean my son's f*@&ing Hot Wheels!!! Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place. They are a bunch of losers and should be shut down. I am doing my part from a legal standpoint to make sure that happens as quickly as possible.
I AM A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF THIS CAR WASH. THE OWNER IS A VERY STUBBORN, ARROGANT JERK WHO TREATS PEOPLE BASED OFF HOW MUCH HE LIKES THEM. THE MANAGER WAS A NICE GUY BUT WHEN IT CAME TO DEALING WITH CURTIS, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE. I DISCOVERED THE HARD WAY THAT THEY DO NOT DO DRUG TESTING DURING THE HIRING PROCESS. I HAD TO WORK AMONG PEOPLE WHO WERE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS OVER HALF THE TIME.
