My wife and I are down for the weekend and decided to check Cowboy's out. When we arrived we were greeted at the door by a courteous doorman and easily made our way into the club where we saw a variety of activities to keep us entertained....namely the dance floor with a full stage with lights, smoke, and everything. They even had a cover band that was honestly one of the better ones I have seen in my almost six years of living in Texas. There were many fully stocked bars and standing behind them were bar tenders that were attentative and seemed to keep the waiting down to a minimum. For those of us that chose beer over liquor there were also several beer stations that kept you from waiting in line behind people ordering multiple mixed drinks. This place has a bull, card and pool tables, and decent seating. Oh, and you can get food there too if you so choose. If you forgot your cowboy hat...they have you covered. There is a gift shop with some hats for both the ladies and the guys. In the four or so hours we were there we noticed that the bouncers were on their game because the rif-raf was non-existant. Those too young to drink did have an M written on both hands and were required to wear wristbands but that is understandable. I know that back home alot of the places make minors wear a shirt that announces their inability to purchase alcohol so I dont think that a mark and wristband is such a bad break. We had an outstanding time and plan on going back the next time we are in San Antonio.
This place is awesome, Im openly gay and have excellent service here all the time. If you feel like acting like a girl when you are a boy you need to go else where, there are bars for those types of acts. And as far as everyone jumping on his bandwagon it's probably the same person with too much time on their hands since they cant display real names. Miami bar I wouldn't worry I plan on having another party this weekend. For that many people to escort you out you must have been acting a fool and probably a bad tipper as well, lol. And why didn't you dress like you normally dress for the news? Did you need more sympanthy? If anyone is a disgrace to the san antonio gay community is people like "Henry" that disrespect the STRAIGHT community and think they can turn any straight guy. If people really wanted to see that they would go to the gay strip. Get a life and quit enmbarrassing yourself and the gay community. As far as dress code goes guys wearing hats any "gentleman' will always take their hats off in front of a woman. If your hat is more important that the respect of a woman then maybe your at the wrong bar and the wrong side of town. LMAO
Honestly the best taxis in San Antonio! super clean taxis, very professional, extremely friendly and excellent service! My girlfriend and i had a friend take us to see a movie and go out for dinner and we had planned a different taxi company to come get us, when we came out our taxi wasn't there so we waited for 10 minutes before calling up and asking what was going on. They told us that we never wanted a taxi to pick us up and so we asked very nicely if they could come and get us. the guy on the phone said he would send a taxi to us shortly. We were waiting for an hour and so i called up again and after making us wait, this time he flat out said "we don't have any drivers tonight" so i was really frustrated and got on my phone to find another cab company. I found Texas taxi man on my phone so i rang up and they were very nice, came exactly when they said they would be there, the cab was super clean and the driver was extremely friendly, got us where we needed to be and saved the night from total disaster. Now i use Texas taxi man whenever i need a cab in San Antonio! Thanks for saving my night! 5 * 's
