Hands Down Best Mediterranean Food in the City! Outstanding prices! I know Mediterranean food, and Zorba's is hand's down the best in the city. The Chicken Schwarma is to die for. There rice is warm and heavenly. The owner and his family light up each time a customer comes in. It's an exceptional value, as the portions are generous and most meals are $10.00 or well under. Zorba's isn't a swanky restaurant, but it has exquisite food, warm service and very clean bathrooms. In these tough economic times, this is a restaurant worth visiting and keeping alive. Tip: if you've never tried Mediterranean food before, just ask the waitress what she recommends. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the flavorings. If you've never had Chicken Schwarma, you are missing one of the tastiest sandwiches available.
Don't be turned off by the potholes in the parking lot and the not-so-sparkling store fronts of the businesses in the strip mall where Mina & Dimi's is located. Once inside you'll be warmly greeted and have a truly delightful dining experience whether you are a first-time customer or a regular. If you have never tried Greek food, the staff will explain the dishes and make suggestions based on your preferences. The menu is varied enough even so that fussy eaters do not have to venture too far from their comfort zones, and fans of Greek food can eat gyros, moussaka, and baklava to their hearts' content. Dress is casual. Prices are reasonable. Some evenings they even have Greek dancing.
We were out of towners looking for a "quick" dinner and came across Papouli's. What a find! The food was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable and led us to a great dinner. You know you're in a good Greek restaurant when you are surrounded by Greek families.
