I recently moved here with a relative from out of state, and we've been living in San Antonio for a year. During that time I enrolled this relative of mine in two daytime healthcare centers. The first one didn't seem to care specifically to my relatives personal needs. They were more of the general "cater to the needs and not the individual" kind of business. Careplex does care for the individual. The owner of this center even knows the names of all her clients. I am satisfied with their amenties such as their pool table, outdoor shaded patio, tv, music, and video games. The director is friendly and she does well to make her clients as well as their caretakers feel at home.

Adequate; good food pleasant staff. However, I was placed there basically by happenstance among rather severely afflicted clientele while my problem was physical - arthritis and chronic pain from multiple severe orthopedic trauma. I was living at a group home (unlicensed and shoddily run) owned by a frankly ignorant, grasping elderly Mexican- American woman and she needed somewhere to dump her patients while she went running around town during the day. I would be more than happy to amplify on her misfeasance and malfeasance. Tell Steve Becker and the Head Nurse (RN or LVN) - whose name I can't recall, that I said hello. I work from 9 am to 5 pm mon- Fri. and I decided to have my 70 yr old mother move in with our family. My children all go to school and my husband has similar hours as me. I cant leave her at home by her seld because she has diabetes and needs to be monitored. And I dont think she I want her to go to a nursing home. A friend told me her younger bother goes here because he had developmental issues so I was sceptical.Medicare pays for it! and he loves it. they pic her up from our house by 8am and drop her off at 4pm, the kids come home at that tim! they feed them breakfast and lunch and a snack! love love love it.... we'll see how it works out!
