I went to the Texas Gallery Furniture at Military drive and found the staff to be quite helpful. After negotiating a price on a bed they told me they didn't have it in stock and I could wait a few days for one to come in or go to the Texas Gallery Furniture store on Bandera. The Bandera store was a totally different experience. When I drove to their store they told me to pull around to the loading dock and they would give me the bed. When I pulled up to the loading dock they told me they didn't have the bed I wanted but offered me an "upgrade". The employee couldn't explain how this bed was an upgrade but promised that it was better than the bed I had paid for. After finally relenting and taking it home, I opened the box to find that this bed was no better than the one I really wanted (and I would consider it to be not as nice, unless you consider poorly stained wood that is dented and cracked in places to be an improvement). So I loaded up the bed and took it back to the Bandera store a couple days later. The staff was very rude, including a man who appeared to be the manager who I explained the issue to (I'm not happy with this model and want the one I originally picked out). He asked another employee to "take care of this...apparently he doesn't understand what an upgrade is". Yes, I do understand what an upgrade is, and it is an item of superior quality or features, not a piece of crap. I also understand when I am being spoken down to. The 2nd employee asked me to explain to him what it was that I didn't like about the bed they gave me. I told him politely that I preferred the style of the first bed better (leaving out that the wood was in less than stellar shape just to be nice). The first man rudely and impatiently said they don't carry the bed I wanted at this store, only the model they were offering me. Then he snapped "You'll have to deal with the other store!" I have never seen customer service this bad in all my life, and I've experienced some pretty crappy employees over the years. I would NEVER shop at this store again. I have to give it 3 stars, however, because when I called the store manager at the Military Drive store he was very polite, looked to see if they now had the model I wanted (he did) and had it delivered for free. He also let me know he would have his guys assemble the bed for me to make up for my bad experience of the other store not having the bed (I hadn't even told him how the other manager had treated me like trash). Unfortunately, since I think the other manager may have actually been the owner, I will not give my business to this store again, not even the branch that treated me like a valued customer and not like a piece of dirt.

Okay so I have lived in the area for quite some time......actually over 34 years, This salon has been here for 6-7 years. I took my younger daughter (12) for just a trim.......wow such a good price and talk about not going home and catching a hair or two or a whole chunk that was missed or screwed up! THANK YOU MONICA!!!! A month later my best friend wanted to get a hair cut but didn't care what price she would have to pay since she pays top dollar regardless. So I took her to go see Monica, got her hair cut nothing fancy we were in and out and just so you have an idea my best friend still had $40.00 bucks not paid on her hair. She was totally surprised at the price and even more surprised at the final look. Once again THANK YOU MONICA!!!! So today (04-03-09) I took my oldest daughter (14) for a little more of a fancy cut. I respectfully asked for Monica, but unfortuntely some other customers were a little luckier to have her full attention. So not to worry I looked around and gladly requested Maria. Well we spent the next 30-45 minutes in the great hands of Maria. Maria explained the do's and dont's on how to protect care and handle my daughters hair. I went in for a cut and was giving some valuable lessons for free. She was very nice informative and over all a blessing! Not only did my daughter think Maria was some sort of hair Goddess but wants to see her for every next time to come. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MARIA!!!! Well when the time comes we will get to be in the great hands of the other ladies that work with this establishment. I am so sorry if I have misspelled or incorrectly mentioned anything. So please stop by and see what I mean.... I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE LET DOWN!!!! Twin Scissors- San Antonio 78204 Maria-Mireya-Monica-Melva..........GO SEE THEM!!!!! Thank you ladies, Jennifer
I can't tell you how many nail salons I've visited around San Antonio. Some were fair, others...horrible. I gave Hn Nails a try and spoke to the owners, Han and Sam. They told me to come in and take a look at the environment before I had anything done. When I walked in, I was shocked. The front looked like a Day Spa. All of the employees are very nice and make sure every experience you have inside their salon is nothing but the best. Hn Nails is so clean and sanitary that it makes you question other places you've been. When you walk in, it doesn't have that "nail salon" smell... you know...the one that leaves you dizzy when you leave. Most shops don't clean out the filters of the pedicure tubs -one of the many disgusting truths you may or may not know- so you end up getting your feet done in someone's elses "leftovers." Here, you can watch them literally pull the filter apart and disinfect the tub evey time. They sanitize every tool and towel they use on you. To top off the experience...THEY TAKE THEIR TIME!!! They aren't concerned with how many customer's they can get in and out within an hour, but rather, ensure each customer they see receives the quality of work that they pay for. The best pediucure I ever had took 1 1/2 hour. Of course, it was my first time here at Hn Nails. I wouldn't suggest any other place in San Antonio. There isn't one negative thing that I could say about this place. If you want the best of the best without paying hundreds of dollars... I beg you to spare your time and trouble... just go to Hn Nails. They are so friendly and knowledable about every aspect that goes on in their salon and you won't be disappoint... I PROMISE!
