I am not sure if many places...especially of the fast food sorts...would fit the bill for a 5-star rating. Still, Podna's Catfish and Po'Boys was an easy choice for a top rating. Having spent 6 months living in San Antonio, this place became one of my favorites. Although it is a place that could be easily overlooked on Austin Highway, and generally would not be fit for a 30 minute lunch if you work downtown, I found as many opportunities to go back as my co-workers would allow. The food in general is really good, but of course, you should shoot for the po'boys. My favorite was the 12" 1/2 fried oyster, 1/2 fried shrimp. Whatever you choose, it is overflowing with meat, the roll that it comes in is fresh and the sauce that you can add on your own is great. The fries weren't necessarily my favorite, but they are still really tasty and not overly fried or salty. This is a pretty basic restaurant, and watch out for the high noon lunches, as it might be difficult to find a table. But the staff is really nice and the owner, who willingly shares about his visit to New Orleans which led to the start of his business, is definitely a friendly character. Although I was never that rushed, they even have a drive-through, and I have heard that you can call in orders and have them cater. Now, I am off to new eating adventures in Dallas, TX as a next step in my own professional pursuits, but Podna's will definitely be on my list when I take my next trip to SA.

Spicy Ginger Asian Cafe, in my opinion, is a decent place to eat. It is very affordable. The food portion is a good amount for the price that you paid for. The drive-thru is a plus. I haven't seen any thai place that has drive-thrus. There are a variety of food choices from the menu. Structurally, the restaurant itself lacks some ambiance effect. The tables and chairs are not very comfortable. The walls are bare. You can see-through the ceiling. It really feels like eating inside a warehouse - literally. I asked for a fish sauce and I can definitely tell that it has been watered down (my husband told me that it is probably due to the strong smell of this sause and that the place is simply catering to American customers - makes sense I guess). But if you want something quick and different - and this place is definitely worth a try.
My Fiance and I came to the newly opened restaurant around opening time. We were greeted right away and drink order taken we began to explore all the items everything looked fresh and well organized as well as clean. I cant stress that clean part. If someone even had a crumb put out someone would be right out to clean it up. The sushi was ok and all the food out on warmers was good. However the star of the show that people rarely took part of is the Mongolian Grill area making your own lo mein or stir fry and making it how you want. It was delicious and Id return for all but especially that part. They were quick at refills as well as getting the check. The price was a steal for lunch. 18 dollars for the two of us not including tip but well worth that money. Definitely try this place out it was delicious and great service.
