I love to acknowledge those who provide a great customer experience and my experience with Daddy's Tint and Alarm was one for the ages. Here is my honest evaluation of this business below. MATERIAL QUALITY: EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP: EXCELLENT PRICE: EXCELLENT (you get more value than you pay for) CUSTOMER SERVICE: EXCELLENT+ WARRANTY: EXCELLENT (Lifetime) WORKPLACE CLEANLINESS: EXCELLENT (cleaner than most restaurants). Not only was the quality, workmanship and price first class, the customer experience was well beyond what I would expect from any service provider. It started out as a comedy of errors on my part. My daughter was out of town and I wanted to surprise her by having her windows professionally tinted on her car as part of her graduation reward. I showed up late for my appointment after forgetting to call and let them know I was coming, but Jesse had already started on a walk in and was booked the rest of the day following week. But instead of being turned away, Jesse and his son arranged for me to leave my car overnight and promised to get it done within the next few days as time permitted realizing how important it was to me to have it done before my daughter returned. The next challenge came when I told Jesse that, not only did I not have a ride, but I realized I had left my wallet at home. Kindly, Jesse took his lunch time to give me a ride home in my daughter's car. As I drove home I looked down and realized that the gas tank was empty but I assured Jesse there was enough gas for us to get my wallet and get to the nearest gas station. He offered to buy gas and bill me later but I was sure we were fine. By this time he had to wonder what in the world he had gotten himself into. We arrived at my home only to be concerned that the fuel gauge was warning us we had a range of "zero" miles and the gas station was still two miles away. Jesse smiled and waited patiently as he watched me get the lawn mower gas can and fill the tank with the little bit of gas I had. After fueling the car at the gas station and allowing Jesse to get back to work I was surprised to have him call me four hours later to tell me he was able to get my car in and that I could pick it up after 5:00 if I wanted it that day. I picked it up the next day and WOW what a great looking car! The quality and workmanship are outstanding. I even found myself turning down the AC because it felt so cold (and this was on a very hot humid day), confirming what Jesse said about the outstanding heat reflection that his material provides over other more popular cheap brands. As i was leaving I inquired about windshield UV and heat protection for this car and my other cars and was happy to learn that Daddy's Tint and Alarm uses the 3M Crystalline 3MCR90 Clear Automotive Window Film that is the rave in the industry. I will be back over the next several months for that service and look forward to introducing my family to another great family. Thanks Jesse. I started going to bring your own parts back in Oct '11 where I used to take all my business to a local Firestone. BYOP was really helpful in finding the parts for me and installing them the same day while I waited in their main lobby. The reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because of their dedication to resolve a complex issue on my Acura's Power Steering pump. I work for an IT industry and when a real interesting issue arises we have to investigate and setup monitors to help determine the issue. This can sometimes take longer than a couple of days resolve. Well BYOP did exactly this. They replaced the pump with an aftermarket, which created a noise issue only when turning the wheel slightly. It didn't start until I left the shop and arrived in Austin. They replaced it with another aftermarket under warranty and the next pump worked but started to create a noise as well. There was an issue with the pulley that was not completely straight and the tensioner that caused the belt to come off. It seemed like a disaster but they assigned Martin to me, where they researched the issue and collaborated together. It turns out Acura’s have a difficult time with some select aftermarket parts and doesn’t take to them well. I had to go OEM, which I researched myself, and was the right thing to do to in the first place. As I had already paid for labor, I just had to pay the difference for the OEM parts. When I left my car there they drove me across the street on Bandera to Avis where they have a nice discount for BYOP customers and the Avis staff is very friendly. Again, BYOP took care of ordering all the OEM parts and returning the aftermarket parts without adding to the additional cost and pain of returning parts. They researched that you had to clean out and install the slot where the tensioner goes and they never gave up until my car was noise free. It’s an 11 year old car but still drives like I got it off the lot. They have a great system for documenting all the service/labor and it’s available online as well. For a company who does not know the history of the maintenance and things do go wrong after 11 years , I’ll quote Martin “There is always a resolution, just need to diagnosis and resolve it”. I bought 3 more cars from Benson Honda thanks to my superior salesman Rob Drury! I took my daughter to get her first car and I was trading in my 2015 pilot for a smaller car. I really didn't know what I wanted for myself; planned on a civic for my daughter. Anyway my salesman Rob Drury spent all day with us on 3 separate occasions, literally. He was very patient, professional, knowledgeable and offered some very useful advice. We ended up getting a civic and an accord and just like last time in 2014 everything went perfectly with minimal negotiation and a very fair deal. The floor manager gave us everything we wanted at the price I was willing to pay and the finance department was incredibly efficient. I left happy and of course my daughter was thrilled. My wife felt left out, so less than a week later we went back to Benson Honda to get the windows tinted on both cars, and Rob Drury spent another day with us, and he was again perfect. We test drove the CRV, and Accord, but my wife wanted to trade in her van and get the new 2016 Pilot which was has limited availability currently. Rob was able to find us exactly what we wanted and the manager gave us the deal we wanted so we were all very pleased with the process. After the sale Chelsea in customer relations continued to impress me by ensuring that we had everything we were promised (we had to get some options installed the next week.) When you go looking for a new or used car be sure you start with Benson Honda and ask for Rob Drury and find Chelsea (trust me on this one guys). You will be glad you did and you will appreciate having them both helping you. I almost forgot to mention Kaileigh also in customer relations who helped schedule the tinting on the civic and accord. She was also very nice and patient with me, and helped me decide on the right tint darkness: tougher decision than you might think. One last thing is their brand new showroom and service dept. Everything is so nice and new, and buying a car can take some time so it's really convenient for anyone with or without children to be able to sit comfortably with free cookies, soda and coffee while waiting.
Just got done getting an alarm installed at Daddy's . . . they did a great job. They gave me a quote over the phone and it was the same price when I showed up for my appointment. They told me over the phone that there might be an additional expense for a part they might need, and they told me again before the work was completed. As it turned out, it wasn't needed - but I appreciated the fact they were concerned that I knew what was going on, and they didn't rip me off when they found out it wasn't needed. When I got there, I was prepared for a long wait, so I was ready to walk down the street to find a restaurant to get a bite to eat and to study. When these guys heard that, they insisted on driving me to any local place I wanted to go. They also recommended quiet places to study as well. They dropped me off and picked me up when the work was done - and they were happy to do it. And if I wanted to stay at the shop, they made it clear I was welcome there as well. When they were done, the van was clean of their work and everything looked great. They went over the functions of the alarm and made sure I was fully comfortable with it. They also made sure I was completely satisfied and actually told me to post my HONEST opinion on this site. That's easy - they did great! Their shop is ridiculously clean and neat. They make sure the showroom appears and smells nice, and it doesn't look like any car radio/alarm/tint shop I've ever seen before. The work area is very clean as well and is a place you wouldn't be embarrased to bring your kids or your wife/girlfriend, because you won't find any bikini-clad chick posters on the wall - a rarity in this business. Awesome people are at Daddy's, treating people right. They could teach lessons on proper customer service to their competitors!
This location was close to the airport, and I decided to try it because I was traveling for a couple of days. I submitted an email via the website, and got a quick response from the owner stating that they could fix my electrical problem in the time I'd outlined. I asked them to look at the a/c as well. Both were ongoing problems because I am new to the area and a total skeptic. Tony (behind the counter) told me what to expect, and he delivered. I got a call while on the road and was given an explanation of the problem and the solution. The a/c problem, by the way, was overlooked at the dealership (not a local one) on three separate occasions. The repairs were made, and the price was half what I expected to pay at the dealership. The office closed at 5:30 and my flight came in around 4:00. I was told that I had two options in the case that I was late for any reason. If I called ahead, someone would stay behind and let me in. Plan B was to pay over the phone and he would leave my vehicle out for me to pick up. Although simple, it really sounded to me as if they were grateful for business and understood that if you treat people right, they'll come back. I'd feel comfortable sending a family member there.
Earlier this week I took my new Ford Focus into Daddy's Tint and Alarm Store on Huebner Road near the medical center to have window tint put onto my car. I was amazed at how professional, yet friendly the people were to me at this establishment. I was treated as if I had brought in an expensive vehicle. In fact, there was a Porsche in the shop at the same time as my Focus and I was treated just as well as the Porsche owner. I strongly recommend Daddy's Tint and Alarms to everyone in San Antonio. I shopped around for weeks before making my mind up where to take my car. I was looking for a good product at a good price. What I found by searching were that many tint shops in our city are run by highschool kids and young adults who are disrespectful and I was a little nervous about leaving my car in their care. Once I drove up to Daddy's, I noticed the nice landscaping, fresh paint, and then walked inside to a cool, nice smelling office, was greeted with a smile and treated with respect. Just shop around, and I'm sure you will agree.
I purchased a used Lexus from North Park Toyota, an affiliated dealership. After attempting several remedies to remove what I initially thought were water spots (the issue ended up being etching from bird droppings), I contacted the North Park dealership General Manager. He was already suggesting how to fix the issue before I had even completed the description. He then suggested I would be better off having anything done at the affiliated North Park Lexus dealership. He promised a call back from North Park Lexus; I received a call from the Lexus General Manager in less than ten minutes. Suffice it to say, I was blown away with their response. I got an appointment that afternoon, and they are taking care of the issue, in a manner that was extremely positive and painless. I found myself thinking about how I could implement such a positive customer service process at the company where I work. This was an absolutely awesome experience, and my compliments to both dealership service departments and management!
I was getting quotes to repair/replace transmission when Neil asked me to hold on, that I should get diagnosis b4 spendind alot of $$$. I came Sat but Diagnostics guy was off. Neil said they`d run scan free if id wait. 30 mins later he informed me that codes showed engine misfire. I grew up b4 cars were loaded wh sensors, so if trans slipped it was tranny. He could have sold me transmission 4 couple thousand, instead he chose to be honest. I called his boss next day to say thanks though I was a little worried he might not be so happy, but he said Neil did the right thing, that it is bad karma to cheat customers, and God expects better. So hey, I saw the other reviews saying they are "pricey" but maybe u get what u pay 4? Ps: He was exactly right. Even though i recently replaced plugs/wires, 1 was bad, and Robert at Autozone told me i shiuld replace crankshaft speed sensor, problem solved. So im just saying, how many people/bussinesses r cool wh giving up easy $$$ 4 integrity??
My husband and I have been looking for a new vehicle for months we have been to dealerships after dealerships. One thing I loved about North Star Dodge, very professional and the whole time we were there, I did not feel pressured nor swindled. Laura Jones, Internet Director helped us first and she was prompt, honest, dependable and great. Wayne our sales guy, great heart: once again my husband and I did not feel as if the staff wanted to get a quick buck. Wayne was great, caring and listened to our needs. We already knew which car we wanted, we did our research and the guys at North Star Dodge came through for us and I recommend them again and again and again. We purchased a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, great mileage and an outstanding waranty, being that we have kids this is definetly what we needed. I had my car tinted at Daddy's Tint near the medical center last week and was so pleased with the excellent service I received, I had to write a review. I did not have a ride after all that day and was not looking forward to waiting in the waiting area for 3 hours. Luckily I didn't have to.......the owner himself asked me if I had a ride and when I said I did not, he offered to take my home or to work if it was within a few miles, or to the Huebner Oaks shopping center. I was very taken back with his offer. He actually drove me to AMC movie theater so I could watch a movie and came to pick me up after it was over. I came back, my car was ready early and I got to see a movie in the process. Furthermore, my car looks awesome!! These guys run a great shop and treat their customers really good. Thank you, Daddys! You will definitely get my future business.
