My downstairs one-bedroom apartment at Plaza Square in San Angelo is spacious, well lighted, and functional. Parking is plentiful and the pools are nice. Maintenance is average, I guess. The problem is that management caters to college students, and has a "the more the merrier" attitude when it comes to occupants of the one-bedroom above me. Previously there were a horde of young Mexican males (about 12 in all) and their girlfriends. It sounded like a herd of cattle walking around up there, and they littered terribly, and guess who had to clean up their mess? When I complained enough, management finally evicted them. But they were unfriendly towards me after that, even though I pay my rent on time every month, and pick up the trash in the parking lot and laundry rooms the college students like to leave there. The students cause vandalism, like to smash beer bottles in the parking lot and I'm sick of having to babysit. On New Year's Eve, they set a large dumpster on fire; soon after, they smashed half the windows of one of the laundry rooms. Once they even ripped a bolted-in set of parcel receptacles out of the concrete; don't ask me how they did that! Students get rent-controlled apartments at a discount and can split the rent of a one-bedroom up to a dozen ways; which is totally illegal, I'd like to point out. The new tenants are about six in number so far, of the apartment above me. When I complained this time, I was ignored. Meanwhile, my rent continues to climb and I've concluded that the management is either crazy or just plain corrupt. If two students can't make rent of one-bedroom here, they shouldn't be living here. There is plenty of student housing available elsewhere in San Angelo for them. When six or more people can share the rent, it just incites them to sleep all day, party all night, and just generally be a nuisance. It's a kid's paradise; adults beware.

We lived in Bellagio Apartments in San Angelo while my husband was in tech school. We had a crazy, loud neighbor and she annoyed us, rest was okay. Otherwise, we never had any problems with the facilities including public transportation. Also, these apartments are fully secure, and that’s why my spouse decided to stay here.
