JayLynn Studios takes a unique approach in all aspects of photography. Our studio has been around since 1906. That's four generations of photography experience in our studio. We are specialists in what we do! Traditional, casual, elegant, specialty, group, business, unusual, outrageous or adorable; we'll capture you at your finest! Each print is then hand-finished by our specialists with fine retouching and finishing, so each portrait leaves Jay Lynn Studios with the professional quality look you came to JayLynn's for.
Dave Updike:
Dave has been photographing for over 35 years. His grandfather and his father before him both had photography studios, so Dave grew up in the business before purchasing his own studio. Dave loves photography. He loves to make people smile and capture an expression in a portrait that shows each person's love and excitement for life.
Cynthia Kimball:
Cynthia has been with The CoverLook and Jay Lynn Studios for 20 years. She is our CoverLook manager and has been involved with makeovers, photography, managing and marketing within our organization. Her passion is makeovers, and giving every person the greatest experience possible and then some. "Making women feel beautiful is what fills my heart!"
Angela Olsen:
Angela has enjoyed taking pictures since childhood, and began her photography career in February 2001.

Great Studio and great experience!
Great Studio and great experience! Everyone was so friendly and really made us feel very welcome! I came in with my two sons and my husband and you know when dealing with men, they hate getting their photos taken; however, time flew by and we all had such a great time that we almost forgot we were in a photography studio. Anyways, we really love JayLynn!

JayLynn Photography Studios were complete professionals! My family enjoyed our experience and felt right at home with our photographer. The environment was great and we were able to take a variety of shots provided in their studio. we thought having family members with disabilities would be a concern but JayLynn Studios took care of us and went at a pace that made us feel important and special. I would recommend JayLynn Studios to anyone looking to make a family memory look its best.

My family and I went through JayLynn for our family portraits. We went into the canyon for the fall autumn leaves and scenery. The photographer knew the best spots and was very fun and professional! We had quite a few younger kids with us but the photographer was very patient and they listened to him! The overall experience was a great time, we almost forgot we were getting our pictures done. The finishing look of our portraits were fantastic! We will for sure be working with them again.

I am honestly really suprised about the negative posts about Jaylynn Studios!
As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted immediately and with the warm atmosphere I really felt like family. Dave, the owner, was the person I set up my appointment with, and he was so nice and fun to talk with. He really gets you feeling like your important and that really meant a lot to my family and I. The photographer Jacques( I think that's how you spell it) was amazing, not only was he very funny and likeable but you could tell he really knew his stuff! Overall my experience was very excellent, even ordering the pictures gives you a sense of importance! You are taken in a private room and shown your pictures on a big screen and the entire process wasn't rushed at all! The photos turned out beautiful and I couldn't be happier! I will definitely be returning to JayLynn in the near future! -

This place is terrible!!!
Got my family photo tooken the photography drop my daughter not once but twice! after we stated she not able to sit on her own yet at 5months and than when it came to paying, that lady were all were worrying about money!! it was insane! she keep on cropping our photo for more money even through we love our picture the way it was before trying to talk us out with our own liking!!! they took our money and didn't hear from them at all!!! I dont know why its expensive??? its not that great as they stated. My own 10year old knows how to photoshop like they do and its not compliment am giving them. I can get a great deal with a frame not overprice for a piece of crave wood i truly don't like... I had my husband do all the talking before i freaked out! Thank god for him. p.s. they are just like kmart but overprice for a crappy picture of nothing but photoshop that doesn't look like us and way phony! -
Fun place to have your picture taken
I normally am not the person who likes getting her picture taken. At Jay Lynn Photography the staff made it really fun. I stayed for a few hours and brought a few different outfits to change in and out of. The quality of the pictures Jay Lynn took was truly amazing. I was able to pick and choose whisch ones I wanted to keep and print. I think getting my picture taken now is not as bad as I once thought. Especially when they turn out looking as good as they did. Thanks Jay Lynn Photography for making me look and feel beautiful.

Jay Lynn Photography is the best studio in Utah. Our experience was truly picture perfect in every way. The owner Dave Updike cares about the customers who are walking into his studio. We had a very personal experience at Jay Lynn Photography that made my wife feel comfortable in choosing them as our photographer. The pictures turned out fantastic! We are excited to have others go to Jay Lynn Photography for the same "Picture Perfect" experience. They really are a world class studio.
