*WARNING* DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! *BEWARE*
My mother and I lived here for two years. We were excellent tenants who paid our rent on time and kept to ourselves. We get wrongfully evicted for a dog we don't even own and AFTER we left were told a trustworthy source that they (management/maintenance) purposely lied to get us kicked out. I have never owned a dog!! They're rudely aggressive and they lie to their tenants!! When my Mother and I went into the office to talk to the manager to explain we did not have a dog nor did we have anyone living with us, they immediately started yelling and threatening my Mom with calling the police; had the new mtnc guy, Noah, bullying my 63 yr old Mom? Police can't stand FP even!!
Maintenance guys are horrific, intrusive and rude & think they can waltz into ur apt regardless of ur preference when. Neighbors are nosey. Received complaints friends/family visiting! We are respectful of people around us and quiet! People are constantly parking in our paid parking. THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE!!!! Our rent went up 4 times in the 2 years we were there. Our roof caved in on us in winter and our AC and heat went out 14 times in one season!! FOX POINT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!!
When my boyfriend (NOT living with us), as his dad would come to visit they stayed in the car to visit coz he can't walk up 3 flights of stairs...so, I guess that means we were up to no good going out to sit in the car of my boyfriend's 72 years old FATHER!? It's absolutely ridiculous how management treats their tenants!! Darryll and Noah, the maintenance guys, are just down right mean. They told the carpet layer (which happened to be one of our good friends) that they lied about the dog just to get us kicked out coz they're racist sleaze don't want "hispanics" on their streets (my bf is from out of the country). We have a cat and they knew it coz we paid $350 for a deposit yet they found no dog, nor were they even looking for one! They came into my apt, went straight back into the laundry room to replace our a/c filter (finally after 10 calls) never looking in the other rooms for a dog that we never had! Upon 1st viewing the apt, Darrel told us exactly what not to do or else..."I'll be one pissed off M*F*R if I have to drive 20 miles for what you guys did that I have to fix!"....blah blah.. Three of our neighbors wrote the management a letter stating that we were great neighbors and that they would've moved by now if it weren't for us and how much they loved us as neighbors!! They're moving too! Come to find out, one of the staff want to live in our apt, another reason I suppose to get evicted!! They spread lies, tell lies, deceive! Then they slander my Mother's good name by telling everyone about our private business and they talk smack about other tenants in front of the applicants and other tenants as well!! Unbelievable!!
They removed the 'drop box' for rent and then fine people that same month because they knew that the 4th was on a Sunday and a lot of people would be considered late by Monday the 6th with the new policy they fail to give to people in time to make adjustments!! I honestly cannot believe they lied and then actually told our friend, unknown to them, that they actually lied to get us evicted! They happen to do that two days after we just paid our $1094 (which started at $780 two years ago) rent and utilities!!
Well, we ARE hiring a lawyer and we are going to call the BBB too. It's a real shame coz the property is so beautiful; The people who run it really make it a very ugly place to live! Why else do you think they give such a great move in special!? Pet friendly?? I don't think so!! They fine you for one thing after another! I have heard nothing but bad from people about Fox Point at Old Farm! DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Also, us and a few others are filing a class action lawsuit against Fox Point in Old Farm if anyone has experienced the same from these crooks, contact me please!!!
WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING...RUN AWAY, don't move in here. You will be SORRY. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE YOU CAN EVER LIVE. THIS IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU RENT SOMEWHERE!
FOXPOINT IN OLD FARM is a horrible place to live, outright nightmare. WARNING! The other reviews that are written here about the staff are true. They are the WORST people who have only one goal in mind, smile at your face when you move in and gain your business, and once your here and sign a lease it's like falling down the rabbit's hole to a big giant nightmare. IT IS NOT SAFE HERE, TWO PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MURDERED, NON STOP VIOLENCE, CAR THEFT AND BROKEN INTO AND DRUG TRAFFICKING. RUN AWAY IMMEDIATELY! Your car will be broken into without fail. They raise their rent hundreds of dollars when your lease expires. I am warning you now. It is not a safe area, it is very loud, they don t care who they rent to.
The place is nasty, it is not clean, our staircase was so filthy I was embarrassed to have people over. There is duck poop everywhere and cobwebs all over everything. Yuck!
The maintenance men are aggressive and abusive and apparently after reading reviews I am not the only one who feels that way. After speaking with the police he told me that Foxpoint was called so many times that the police thought foxpoint was a joke and officers get tired of responding here.
It is HORRIFIC. Live HERE IF YOU want to be abused.
We lived in the 3rd floor unit, we couldn't open our windows because of cigarette smoke, we called and a warning went out, but it resumed a short time later. We could not sit on our balcony patio due to the constant cigarette smoke, if I opened my bedroom window it filled my bedroom with smoke.
Then in the late summer any time we went outside to sit on our patio to enjoy the outdoors we would be attacked by yellow jackets and wasps. You could not be out there even for a few minutes before they attacked us.
My son is allergic to stings and will experience anaphylactic shock if he is stung. So I called the apartment complex to report it, they said I needed to send an email request to have an exterminator come out. I emailed them like as they asked and when they responded, they said an exterminator would not be coming for another 7 days. 7 DAYS!!
We couldn t enjoy our patio all of that time. So I patiently waited, the day the exterminator was supposed to come, I waited all day and he didn t show up. NO SHOW after 7 days!!!! I wrote the apartment complex again and they said I would have to wait another 7 days before he would be back.
Finally, in a effort to protect myself, I gave up and had to go to the store and buy yellow jacket traps and had to hang them from the tree in an attempt to get them away from the patio. I spent over $200 dollars on wasp/hornet spray, an electric zapper, and countless traps I had to empty because they would become full of yellow jackets in only a few days.
I was an excellent renter, quiet, paid my rent on time and all I wanted was a home to live in that was safe, clean and safe.
But I am warning you. Look somewhere else. They will leave you with the worst taste in your mouth. They made it appear that it was me, only until I moved out did I learn that it was not me and the rest of the world functions in proper acceptable ways with customer service and values not TYRANNY. Good Luck in your search!
OH AND your apartment number is ALSO marked on your parking spot, which was the stupidest idea on the planet because everyone knows which car is who's. Duh...

Pros- Decent Grounds. Fairly nice quality apartment space overall. Cons- Management is a nightmare to work with. I've never felt more frustrated as a tenant. We felt like we were treated like a number, not people. Through our interactions with them over two years, it became apparent that the management was only concerned with how much money they can bring in each month. As a customer of Fox Point and tenant, we felt cheated. Be sure to nitpick your move in checklist. When we moved out, the management took us for every penny they could. We tried to work with them and make sure we left meeting their specifications, but they were not willing to work with us at all. In the end we had to pay more in fees than a months worth of rent. All of this after leaving the apartment in pristine condition. Finally, rent is actually higher than they advertise because of extra fees. We ended up paying $100 more a month by the time we left than when we first moved. If by some reason you end up paying month to month at the end of your lease, be prepared to pay significantly more. I am sad that such great potential was ruined by such terrible management. It was a very disheartening experience living at Fox Point. I would not move back and, therefore, cannot recommend this establishment to potential tenants

They leur you in with the low rent (IF YOU SIGN A YEAR CONTRACT) but management is horrible to work with, making the overall experience not worth it.
