In the past I have been happy with with Foothill Family Clinic until now. I called to set up a yearly check up and get a prescription filled at the same time. My doctor was on maternity so the receptionist asked if I would want to see another doctor. “Sure,” I said because I didn’t have a preference. I had my appointment, he did a check up, talked about my health, and renewed my prescription. All good, right? Nope. They labeled the visit as a follow up so now I billed differently (actually have to pay for the visit instead of having a free yearly check up). They are telling me I should have known that the check up that Dr. Whitbeck performed was not a yearly check up. How am I supposed to know? I called for my yearly checkup, met with Dr. Whitbeck… I think this is an issue with the receptionist’s call notes or Dr. Whitbeck not doing a thorough check up. I’m the one left paying the bill that I wasn’t supposed to. There are a lot of doctors out there so I won’t return to them next time.
