        One of Salem's finest Tex-Mex Restaurants

        We live in Salem and frequent Los Arcos for dinners and lunches all the time. We have yet to have a bad experience. When we dine there are usually anywhere from 10 to 15 people at our table; which makes for difficult serving. We have never had an issue with bad food or bad service. We would recommend it anytime. The food is excellent.

        Worst Mexican Food in Town

        My friend and I had dinner here awhile back. We both ordered cheese enchiladas. My friend is a vegetarian. As we bagan to eat our meal, she noticed chunks in the enchilada sauce. The sauce had beef in it. She had specifically asked whether there was any meat or meat product in the meal including rice etc, and was told no it was fully vegetarian. For me, the sauce was too salty, the rice was hard and overcooked and the beans were dry and crusty. I definitely won't be going back for seconds.

        When I lived in Salem, Los Arcos was the best place to go, food and drinks were awesome. After two years I went to Salem to visit and went with a friend for dinner. The Top Nachos were mostly toasted chips covered in cheese and the salsa was watered down. My friend ordered the Los Arcos Chimichanga and she found a 1/4 inch chicken bone, things like that happen, she continued eating and found another one about 2 inches long. We talked to the waitress and she talked to the manager, the waitress came back and said because this rarely happens, they would take $5 off the bill. In a good restaurant they usually apologize and comp the meal. After eating at Los Arcos many times in the past 10 years, after this experience, I don't believe I will ever go back.
