This is my honest take on this place. Both pros and cons. Not being from the area, I wasn't sure where to find good pizza without being to fancy. Looking online, I found many pizza place in this area and while driving through, we decided to give Valentino's a try. The outside is bright yellow so it stands out. Walking in, it's a little small but they were able to accomodate 8 of us by moving tables together. Not to offend the business by any means, the first thing that hit me was the "old" smell the restaurant had. That aside, we settled in and started with some garlic knots. They were pretty good as the marinara sauce was too. We ordered 3 pizzas. A small 1/2 sausage, 1/2 hamburger. That was basically shared with the kids. Also we ordered what some restaurants would call a margheritte pizza. I may have the spelling off there, but it's the sliced tomatoes and fresh basil type. Last and certainly not least, we ordered a lasagna pizza. It sounded odd at first, but it was ridiculously delicious. My wife who likes the margheritte style pizza raves about a local restaurant's pizza by our home and she said Valentino's was actually much better. Nobody had anything negative to say and it was all positive and they all raved about the pizza. The only other thing that bothered me is paying for each can of soda. That adds up. I definitely would be back and hope it's soon. Pizza was phenomenal so the smell and cans of soda, I will overlook. I hope this helps future patrons. Oh, the staff was really nice and checked on us and other patrons as well. That's good to see that they cared about service. Well done.
My husband and I ate from Savannah's on Febuary 11th 2009 for the first time. When I got home to taste the food my husband and I could not believe how everything we got was just the best we ever had. My mom might take this personal but Savannah's knocks her food out and every restaurant I have ever visited by far so I just had to rate it. Savannah's I will be part of your advertisement from now on because many people are searching for homemade food with outstanding flavor. My husband and I had the crab chowder soup, portobello mushrooms, pineapple upside down cake, shrimp with grits, crusted chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens, crab cakes, lemonade and iced tea. You would have to taste their food to believe me. I will be going back very often. Thanks Savannah's for keeping us satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Were welcomed by the bar tender who informed us that we had to put our name on a board to be considered for the wait. We only waited for about 20 minutes. It's a pretty small place, as far as the dining room goes. But, when we sat, we were extremely impressed by the atmosphere. The TV's on the table were a nice touch, though our remote seemed to change other customer's TV's. That was more entertaining than the TV programming itself hahha. Anyway, we ordered Duck Wings for apps (superb), The Resurrection Burger, The Wine-O Burger, and The Demi God Burger. All were superb. Cooked medium rare as we like. They exploded in your mouth and you were consumed by flavor. Just fantastic, and generous. The Sweet Potato fries were an included option for a side, and they too were Phenomenal.
