Verandahs of Brighton Bay

Not enough parking! Dog poop everywhere so do not even dare step in the grass, or take a stroll through the property. The water fountain in the gym was disconnected and the machine they replaced it with doesn't have any cups, so every time we workout we are dying of thirst. There are wasps nests outside my building. The gate is ALWAYS broken. They never answer the phone and one time they even switched it off so it would go directly to voice-mail, and it was during business hours. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I have lived at The Verandah’s at Brighton Bay since May 2011. Just a month after moving in the nightmare began. First problem - pool parties till 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. Since our apartment backs up to the pool the noise disturbs us on a regular basis. We informed the office this was going on but still it continues. Guess they are waiting for the drunks at the pool to drown one night. Maybe then they will see the problem. Second problem - ROACHES; pest control not provided. Disgusting! Third problem – Neighbors above us walking so hard that our ceiling fixtures shake. We can hear them above us using the bathroom, flushing the toilet, etc. We have complained to the office many times about this. First time, we were told they can’t do anything about the way people walk. Second time, we were told they would give the tenants above us a notice. My husband finally walked up stairs and knocked on the door, since the office wouldn’t tell us what apartment above us was causing the noise, and asked them to please stop stomping. Did it help? Absolutely not! Fourth problem – air conditioning has stopped working at least 4 times in the 5 months we have lived here. One service call placed on an early Saturday morning we were told by the maintenance guy that he wasn’t nearby so could we put a bucket underneath the unit and he would be out on Monday. Needless to say we spent the whole weekend stuck in the apartment dumping buckets of water. Maintenance is not good! We have had them out more times in 5 months than in our previous apartment in which we lived for 2 years. We’re stuck in a 15 month lease in this place and not happy at all. Had we know it would be like this before moving in we would have run and run fast! Outside appearance, office and pool are very deceiving! This is not the place to live unless you want to live where the party never ends! Don’t recommend this place to anyone and can’t wait to get out of here! We will not be renewing a lease with this place!
