Eaton Orthopaedics

I was prepared for a long wait. Honestly, it was worth a long wait every time to find a surgeon for whom surgery is a last resort not a first resort! I feel fortunate to have been told about Dr. Eaton. He and his PA have spared me knee replacement, at least for a while and hopefully for longer. Thank you Eaton Orthopedics!
If the most important to you is not waiting for your appointment, go somewhere else. If the most important is competence, skill AND great people, take a book!

Don't waste your time with this business (unless, of course, you have a ton of time to waste). Today I had a 3PM appointment. At 4PM, some PA (his assistant) came into the room and talked with me and said that Dr Eaton would be right in. Of course, she didn't say what day of the year that might be. At 4:30PM after an hour and a half wait, and still no doctor in sight, I left the room that I had been waiting and asked the PA how much longer. She advised me that it wouldn't be that much longer, that there were only two more patients ahead of me, and that there had been some kids who had accidents, etc.. She then proceeded to try to pacify me by explaining how Dr Eaton was only in the office on Tues and Thurs, and that it's normal to have a two hour wait to see him. Wow! Really? I'm stunned at that response, but that being the case, why book so many patients on those days? I also know for fact that while I was in the waiting room, another guy came in with a 3:30 appointment, he was taken in ahead of me, and not only that, I heard the doctor go into his room before me. I'm a retired Veteran with Tricare Insurance and can't help wondering if their priority is with patients who have better insurances. In any case, please rethink your visit to this doctor unless you don't mind two plus hours to wait. For me, it's time to find another doctor and staff with a bit more professionalism and common courtesy toward the patients! This experience was a total waste of my time, insurance money (as I'm sure they'll be charging my insurance for a visit even though I didn't get to actually see the doctor), and my patience! Totally unsatisfactory and unprofessional! Oh, and a side note...for as many patients as I saw come in and out of there, and how much money they're making in that office, you'd think they'd have some clean chairs. They have the absolutely dirtiest chairs I've ever seen in a doctor's facility. From the waiting room right down to the patient rooms, the chairs are nasty!!!
