Beautiful space, great music, wonderful hospitality

As acoustically gorgeous as it looks, Central Presbyterian is so much more than just a beautiful space; it is a place to have a relevant and meaningful Sunday experience for many, many reasons. From the warm and welcoming people, both volunteer and staff, to the exceptional music and preaching, Central has its heart in the city for good with relevant messages inter-twined with fantastic musical selections; it is a perfect blend of tradition and up-to-date realism about our world and social justice issues. Nursery and Sunday school / Christian Education classes are staffed with loving and capable support; the sermon is approachable and meaningful. The building is old, but historic, majestic, and has been very well maintained. The thoughtful stewardship on the recently updated Pipe Organ is an example that shows respect for the importance of the historic instrument while maintaining reasonable balance of aesthetics in the sanctuary space. Third Sunday lunches are a special treat with on-site Chef and Sous Chefs! There are also Wednesday lunches during the week that are reasonable for those who can pay, and yet one who cannot will be fed and not turned away. Not to miss events at Central are the VocalPoint Chorus concerts in February, December service of Nine Lessons and Carols, and Lenten requiem music offering.
