Epworth childrens home helped in so many ways. It has been over 23 years since i had been there. The teachers, the councilors, and the dorm staff were all amazing and the children were treated with respect and were taught how to deal with life situations in positive ways. For the children that lived in on campus in the dorm they were treated as and lived as a family. The staff taught children things like positive communication with peers and staff, taught the children how to cook, and the staff was more than just someone watching over u. They were there emotionally and physically there as a friend and as a posotive role model for the children.

I took my daughter to Better Family Life for assistance on her utilities. She was approved for assistance and the worker suggested she sign up for a career center to better her skills for a better job -- thus better pay! The lady that assisted her was very down to earth and resourceful. So often you go to places for help and the workers are rude. As I waited I read some of the literature they had available and truly they are about bettering the life of the family. Kudos!
