I chose this laundromat because it was the closest one to my neighborhood, (South County), that is open 24 hours. I figured, it's in a good neighborhood, chances are they have good washing machines. I was correct in guessing that, the washing machines and dryers worked wonderfully. I was washing my clothes at about 4:00 A.M., and a Clayton Police Officer drove by twice, slowly, and was shining his spotlight inside the laundromat. I have no fear of the police, but felt instead, safe. I am sure he was not used to seeing someone inside the Laundromat at 4:00 in the morning, and wanted to be sure that I was not up to anything (such as harming the business). I made the mistake of eating before I began washing clothes, and needed to use a restroom. NO PUBLIC RESTROOM. Be careful going here in the LATE evening, or EARLY morning because the local gas stations will not let you use their restrooms because of the time of evening/morning. You will have to drive to Hampton Ave to a diner or Steak and Shake to use a restroom. There is FREE Wi-Fi, which I am using right now, so that is a plus as well... The place seems clean and well kept. I did not have a chance to meet the staff due to the time of morning I was using the facility. Overall I gave it "3 Stars" due to the fact that it had no public restoroom, or restroom at all.

What a great service for locals and visitors alike to have multiple services all in one place. Self service coin laundry with FREE DRY and reasonable washer prices, dry cleaning, shirt laundry, drop off fluff and fold (which was grreattt), shoe repair, leather repair, and much more. While we were waiting for our laundry Soulard Soap Laundromat & Cleaners had FREE WIFI and if you don't have your own laptop, they had two pay computer terminals on DSL which was really fast. They have a great selection of ice cream, snacks, and soda (pop) and bottled water. The palce is fully air conditioned and really bright and clean. Their state-of-the-art bathroom, if there is such a thing, was a real surprise. It is within walking distance of many fine restaurants in the famous Soulard neighborhood, like across the street. It is one block from the historic Soulard Farmers Market which is a beehive of activity Thursday through Saturday. Just a $6 cab ride from most downtown hotels. If you're lucky, your hotel will give you a free limo/van ride to this great facility. Thank you so much for making our stay in St. Louis such a wonderful experience. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the vintage video games which were really nostalgic.
I've been a loyal customer. They are a family run business for over 20 years now. I don't go anywhere else because they are more concerned about quality than those coupon clipping dry clean businesses. The mother is the only employee. That's pretty rugged since she is open Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm and Saturdays from 8am-5pm! That's a lot of hours for one lady. Sometimes her kids occasionally help out. She washes spots with lots of different chemicals at least three times. She told me that I should never use water to wash out a spot, otherwise it makes spot removal difficult. So there's always a risk that comes with spot removal because sometimes it just can't be removed. But if it doesn't come out, you can't expect to not pay for the chemicals and labor spent in trying to remove it. I would recommend this dry cleaners any day.
