We hired Sutter Plumbing Company to repair a main plumbing valve in our basement. This was time sensitive and we couldn't wait too long to get it fixed. My husband and I both work so our schedules are not flexible. When the plumber did not show up 15 minutes after the previously scheduled appointment, we called the office to
find out where the plumber was. Sutter told us they would not be able to service our house that day, but had not called to let us know in advance. We had
wasted two hours waiting for them and both arrived late to work. So we generously offered to inconvenience ourselves again and make ourselves
available another day if they would reduce their hourly fee a little (since they had wasted our time that morning). They declined the offer. We canceled the
job and hired a different plumbing company. Sutter claimed they needed a University City permit to fix the valve. On August 9th, without notice, we
received a random invoice for the permit fee. For work they never showed up to do and never completed. To top it off, they were incredibly rude and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. What a horrible company.
Sutter Plumbing was very nice & they know their business. The job is done right the 1st time
I understand that union plumbers make alot of money but places like sutter and rescue rooter charge ssssooooo much money. I called SCS construction and plumbing and I got a quote that was much less than the other two companies. Smaller companies who are licensed and insured are capable of doing great work at a lower price. Im glad I called someone else.
