Purchased a scooter from South City Scooters about 1.5 yrs ago. SOOOO many problems with the PUMA scooter , poor response time from Puma Cycle Corp (they wee moving offices I hear). I will not purchase another Puma Scooter.
The shop itself had its fair share of issues. 1. I returned with the scooter because of a rubbing sound at the front wheel.. Mechanic could not find it (the sound persists to this day). 2. After he did my scheduled checkup I found a beer can in the basket on the back of my scooter, (hardcore vote of no confidence)
The sales office folk (all 2 of them) seemed nice enough but it was very apparent the young sales lady was not experienced in the art of the deal. I hate to haggle. I paid full price but NOTHING came with that, no free or discounted service checkup. I attribute this to youth and inexperience in the give and take of the service/sales industry.
I am currently attempting to get a service manual from PUMA (not so sure they have every heard of such a thing) so I can take this elsewhere for service. I will not return to South City Scooters and I will not recommend to friends, family or strangers until they get someone who can actually fix the scooters as well as someone who has the courtesy to NOT drink during working hours and the respect for the customer to not include his trash with my scooter for pickup. check out yelp,city search and other review sites for people with more experience than I with this business
