Dental Examination
Periodontal disease must be diagnosed by a dentist. During a regular dental exam, your dentist will use a small dental probe to measure the pocket between your teeth and gums. Healthy pockets are less than three millimeters wide, but as periodontal disease progresses, the pockets become more prominent and begin to bleed.
X-rays
At Webster Dental Care, dental x-rays are recommended for all new patients. Typically, returning patients take new x-rays every two to three years, but your dentist will create a personalized x-ray schedule based on your individual needs. Our team of dental hygienists will walk you through the x-ray process to make sure you are comfortable while the imaging is performed. Dental Bonding

Root Canal Treatment
Roots canals are an attractive alternative to extraction for teeth with significant nerve infection or decay. Without a root canal intervention, infected teeth will eventually die and necessitate removal, ultimately leading to more cost and pain over the course of the patient’s lifetime. With proper care, root canal therapy is often effective for the remainder of the patient’s life, barring the occurrence of a new infection.

Periodontal Surgery
Deep Cleaning
If the pockets do not improve after scaling and root planning, periodontal surgery may be needed to reduce pocket depths and make the teeth easier to clean. At this stage, your dentist may also recommend that you see a Periodontist, a specialist of the gums and supporting bones.

Dentures
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. Because they are made to resemble natural teeth, some patients find that dentures actually improve the appearance of their smiles. There are two types of dentures: Complete dentures that replace all of the patient’s teeth and partial dentures that replace only damaged sections of teeth, leaving undamaged portions of the patient’s natural teeth.

Dental Implants
The dental implant process is extensive and requires multiple visits over several months due to the long recovery times. During the initial appointment, your dentist will take x-rays and impressions to determine the optimal placement of the dental implants.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Dr. David Krobath graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1995 before spending one year in Houston, Texas doing a general practice residency working on medically compromised patients with rotations in oral surgery, anesthesiology, and emergency medicine. In 1997, he joined Webster Dental Care and became partner in 2003. Both he and his wife, Katie, were born and raised in St. Louis, so they have very strong roots in the community through both family and friends. When not at the office, pretty simple - 4 kids that, to put it mildly, keep him busy.
Tooth Extractions
For complete dentures, patients will receive both immediate and conventional dentures. Immediate dentures are placed right after the removal of the natural teeth, so the patient can continue regular eating and chewing while they are waiting for their conventional dentures. Due to the inflammation from tooth extraction, immediate dentures may need to be adjusted throughout the healing process to properly fit the gum tissue.

Invisalign Orthodontics
After meeting Dr. Krobath in church, Tammy has been a Webster Dental Care patient for over 5 years. Tammy’s successful Invisalign treatment led her to recommend our practice to two of her friends, who both also love their results.
Braces
Invisalign, also called invisible braces, is a gradual tooth straightening process using customized trays or aligners. This treatment is a popular alternative to braces for adults and teens who have full second molars. Due to the practically invisible trays, Invisalign allows wearers to gradually straighten their teeth without the pain and self-conscious feeling of prominent metal braces.

Teeth Whitening
There are many options available to whiten teeth at home, including rinses, toothpaste, and whitening strips. While these methods do lighten the appearance of teeth, they generally cannot offer results equal to professional teeth whitening.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. David Krobath and Dr. Thakker practice general dentistry. Implantology, Cosmetic Dentistry, and TMJ are specialty areas not recognized by the ADA, and these treatments require no specific educational training to advertise these services.
