OUR RESCUE DOG DEVLIN HAS BEEN DISMISSED FROM SEVERAL GROOMERS FOR HIS FEAR BITING AND TENDENCY TO SHOW HIS PEARLY WHITES. AFTER TRYING TO GROOM HIM OURSELVES, WHICH LEFT DEVLIN FRUSTRATED,MY ALLERGIES ACTING UP AND MY HUSBAND EXHAUSTED, WE HEARD ABOUT HOUSE OF PHIDEAU FROM A FRIEND. IT IS THE ONLY PLACE WE WILL TAKE HIM. HE DOES GREAT AND THEY DONT EVEN NEED TO MUZZLE HIM.IT IS A MIRACLE! NOW IF ONLY ARWEN WOULD JUST GET OUT OF HER TEENAGE REBELLIOUS PHASE WHEN THERE, ALL WOULD BE PERFECT!!

I have been taking my dogs to House of Phideau for years. Everyone is always pleasant and my dogs have happy tails when coming and going. I work different hours and never had an issue leaving my dog till I was off work. I even was stuck at work and was unable to get to the shop on time to pick my dog. The owner kept my dog and met me at the shop when I was able to arrive. She took the time to take him outside for a walk not just left in a cage. My dogs will never go anywhere else. Parking is the only problem but it is the in the city so this is to be expected.
The girls always do a good job and they are very friendly. Benjii adores them.

I HAVE TWO SMALL DOGS THAT I DROPPED OF FOR GROOMING. ONE IS A VERY SHY AND TIMID BABY. WHEN I CAME TO PICK UP I WAS LEFT WAITING IN THE FRONT AREA TO LISTEN TO A GOOMER YELL AT A PUP SHE WAS GROOMING AND THE YELLING WAS IN A VERY MEAN WAY! SHE BROUGHT MY PUPS OUT AND YES THEY LOOKED GOOD BUT MY SHY ONE WAS SHAKING AND WASN'T HERSELF UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING. SHE USE TO LIKE TO GO IN THE CAR WITH ME NOW AS SOON AS I GET HER LEASH OUT SHE STARTS SHAKING. MY PUPS WILL NEVER GO BACK!!

I never knew my pet could look so chic! I was amazed at the way my dog came out after a few hours of being groomed. The test of time is known--guess thats why they have been there for 3 decades! Best part is she still smells clean, I will never go anywhere else!
I don't think it's the owner - it's an employee of hers. My husband took our toy poodle there and he was acting strange, shaking and hiding when he got home from the groomers. I found niks on him and he was not so skiddish the next day. I asked my husband if anything strange happened when he picked him up and he said no. So 4 weeks out I decided to personally bring my dog there to make sure everything was okay. I spoke with the owner and she checked the file and there were notes that my puppy was horrible behavior wise (this was a 1 year toy poodle - he's been to training and groomed at other locations without a problem, so I was confused as to what could possibly be the problem). She said she did not know why this was on his file and she groomed him herself. He trusted her and snuggled up to her. When I picked him up, he was fine and there were no niks on him. I think it's an employee at her shop that either doesn't like her job or doesn't like dogs. If you just talk with the owner direct, you're fine.
i have had 2 bad experiences with the woman working there. the first time i let it slide. the second time i went and she was rude to me that was it. my dog had little nicks and cuts all over his belly and acted weird the rest of the day both times. i've seen other reviews of this place and so far have only seen one positive one. i will not be going back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

i can't believe this place has a 3.5 star rating. if i could give less than 1 star i would. i don't know if the woman i've dealt with is the owner but she needs some serious training in customer service. the first time i took my dog there she was rude and hurried. anyone can have a bad day so i gave the place another chance. the last time i went, and i mean the LAST TIME, she acted the same way, even ruder this time. and my dog was acting funny the rest of the day. this place will not be getting any more service from me and i would recommend to stay away from there unless you like being treated badly.
I know that Nancy would never mistreat your animals. She's a very Classy Lady!
She was always very gentle and caring with my Norwegian Elkhounds.

i have been taking my dog here for a couple years and a few months ago I had to work all day so I dropped my dog off on the way to work. Half way into my day the lady called to tell me I had 10 minutes to pick my dog up because she was done for the day! I was about 45 minutes away so I sent my friend to get her. When she showed up the lady was very rude to her and acted put out. I overlooked her attitude and took my dogs back yeasterday. When I went to pick them up the lady told me one of my dogs was very hard to cut and she almost knocked it out! I am still in shock that someone that owns a dog grooming place would say something like that! I just hate to think of what was done to my do while I wasnt around!

i wouldn't recommend this place. although my dog's haircut was very good, the woman working there was very rude. they had him there all afternoon and called me 10 minutes before closing to pick him up and insisted i get there before closing. even though i lived farther away than that i managed to get there in time during rush hour traffic. the woman was still not friendly. never made eye contact, acted put out. no conversation, just handed me my dog and rang me up. and my dog was acting very lethargic the rest of the day as if he'd been medicated. he never acted like that before and never since so i can only assume. i wouldn't go back and would definitely not recommend to anyone.
My first impression of the owner of House of Fideau was that she was rude. But when I picked my dog up he looked so good that I decided to let that slide.
I took my dogs here quarterly for the past three years each time walking out feeling a little discomfort over one thing or another but out of laziness I continued to go to them. The last time that I took my yorkies, my youngest had three nicks on the bridge of his nose and I could see signs of blood. No mention of this was given from the groomer much less an apology. What she did say was "would you like to add a tip?" I was appauled. The people here are rude, the place is expensive, they cut your dog and then have the nerve to ask for a tip??!!!?!?!
We will not be back to this groomer. EVER and will tell our horror stories to all.
