From the food, service and atmosphere, Hacienda is always a must go to destination. The City Tacos are outstanding and well as the Veggie Layer Dip (if you are in charge of bringing a dish to share to a party, pick one of these up - it's a crowd pleaser and will be gone very quickly) Two of my other all time favorites are Chile Relleno or Chicken Mole, best in town!

My wife and I went on Saturday around 5:00. It's been years since we had been there and were hoping to have an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately that was not the case. We started with the quesadilla appetizer. The server brought it to our table without any plates to eat with. When our waiter came by we told him the server didn't bring us plates. The server then returned and aggressively Dropped the plates on our table and said""I didn't think you wanted plates"" and walked away. So then we ordered our meal which was steak fajitas. Another server came and brought the fajitas and said be careful the plate is hot. Well the plate wasn't hot at all and neither was the steak or the tortillas. Usually when fahitas are brought out there is smoke/steam coming from the plate. When our waiter came by again, he asked how the food is we told him it was cold . He shook his head took the dish and walked away . Within minutes he was back with a hot dish. Obviously they didn't make a new fresh meal. We found this to be very unsatisfactory. We were expecting a nice evening at an old favorite restaurant but found ourselves in disbelief that this was what we paid for.

Many years ago I ate at the Hacienda in Overland, MO. This Hacienda is is nothing like the one that was in Overland. The server was very prompt and courteous, but she could not overcome the mediocre food. We would have been better off to go to a neighborhood Mexican restaurant than drive so far out of our way for substandard food. The food is ok, it just isn't that good for the price you are paying.
We have been coming to Hacienda for years. We winter in Tucson and eat plenty of good Mexican food there but Hacienda can hold it's own with any restaurant in Tucson. I get the Nacho Salad with the house dressing on the side and my husband gets the Mexican pizza. Both are excellent. Go before the drinking crowd arrives and parking is not an issue! The chips are Iight, fresh and crispy. They have a chunky salsa that you may have to request...but we preper it to the regular one. This restaurant is a winner!
Since the origional owners have sold out the place has gone from a strong "B" to a weak "D". The food now tastes pre packaged, the sour cream was served to our table still FROZEN in the little paper cups??? The portions are about 1/2 what they were. They have lost our 12 people monthly happy hour meetup, sad really. Don't waste your money try taco bell.

Don't blame Hacienda for your parking tow. The neighboring businesses are the ones who tow away cars who illegally park on their lots. Hacienda posts clear warning signs not to park on other lots, but some idiots continue to do so.
Going to the Hacienda is a special treat (great for girls' night out). The food is mouth watering and the restaurant is beautiful. The outdoor patio is expecially pleasant and relaxing.

we we were there a week ago and we were seated waiting for our third person in our party and the manager mark came up and made us leave our table after we had been seated for 20 mins b/c our party wasnt there, how rude is that he told we had to leave the table and we could wait in the bar if we like we left we were so mad we will never go back and will tell our friends or any one to never go back to bad to lose a place to eat after going there for so many years i can find just as good of food somewhere else.
