Business Disputes
After one year with National Labor Relations Board, has engaged in private practice specializing in labor and employment law matters for 35 years. Clients include unions and individual employees, both as plaintiffs and defendants, in labor and civil rights litigation. Extensive experience in federal court and arbitration. Certified as a mediation neutral for the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri. Designated as Advanced Practitioner by Workplace Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Selected as a member of the Employment ADR Roster of the American Arbitration Association. Appointed Special Master for mediation of Lead Paint Docket cases by Circuit Court of City of St. Louis. Appointed as a mediator or early neutral evaluator in more than 1500 cases since October, 1993. Issues involved have included: age discrimination, sex discrimination, (including pregnancy, sex harassment, and glass ceiling issues), national origin discrimination, handicap discrimination, ERISA rights, business disputes, estates and trusts, personal injury, real estate, legal malpractice and medical malpractice. Has authored law journal articles, CLE materials, and papers for presentation at attorneys' conferences. Has been speaker at conferences sponsored by state and local bar associations, international and local unions, law schools, and the American Arbitration Association.

Employment Discrimination
Appointed as a mediator or early neutral evaluator in more than 1500 cases since 10/93. Member, Commercial, Labor, and Employment ADR Rosters of AAA; Special Master for Lead Paint Docket for Circuit Court of City of St. Louis (1997 to 1999); faculty member, National Institute for Trial Advocacy program on Negotiation and Mediation, 10/98. Appointed as an arbitrator in franchise termination disputes, employment contract disputes, FSLA minimum wage disputes, and employment discrimination disputes.
Employment Contract
Employment Arbitration is a dispute resolution process in which an independent third party arbitrator conducts a hearing and renders a final and binding decision in a dispute between an employer and a non-union employee covered by an employment agreement or employer policy which specifies binding arbitration in lieu of a judicial forum.

Since 1993, Jerry has been selected to mediate over 1500 disputes ranging from employment discrimination matters, to personal injury and malpractice cases.
Medical Malpractice
Non-employment related disputes have included areas such as personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, business contracts, estates and trusts, real estate, and legal and medical malpractice.
Disability Discrimination
Approximately two-thirds of the disputes mediated have been employment related and involve all types of employment discrimination claims including: race, gender (including sexual harassment, pregnancy, glass ceiling, and same sex issues), national origin, age, and disability discrimination and retaliation as well as employment contract issues including non-compete, compensation, non-disclosure and benefit entitlement issues.
