I'm sorry to see all the negative experiences for both this place and the patients. For me, polite staff. I can tell they're doing the best they can with the daily stressors they put up with throughout the day. They're constantly busy and getting hounded. Even by occasional irate addicts coming in unannounced needing their medication right then and there literally screaming at the staff. My doctor is excellent and never rushes me except for maybe one out of the 10 times I've been considering how awful I am with arriving on time. The waiting room could be updated to have a better atmosphere while waiting for the appointments to feel more comfortable, but besides that I have always been able to get refills when needed and they are especially accommodating when you simply respond in a calm and polite manner even when they may seem overwhelmed to the core. A little understanding, smile, "have a great day!" is a magical tool for people especially when you have no idea what they have already dealt with that day. I guarantee that little positive moment in their day will reflect on a better outcome of their work performance and they may even remember you next time and remember that you are a pleasant face to see have come in.
I have 2 sons and we have been going to Dr. Matt for about 5 years now. We were very attached to our previous pediatrician, so we he announced he was retiring, it was a big deal to find someone with similar philosophies on health and wellness...and someone we could trust. Dr. Sherman actually recommended Dr. Matt. And we have been very pleased from day one. It is a larger office, but the staff runs a tight ship and everything is always organized. My boys were not infants, so my appointments and questions have dwindled over the years, but Dr. Matt and their staff is always very attentive. My boys ask - why do we drive all the way from IL to see the doctor? Well, when you find someone that doesn't push medicine, but is practical and you trust, you just don't choose to go somewhere else.
We have been having a problem with water in our basement and wanted our sewer line checked. Mike #6602 came as scheduled, listened to the entire story, and brought in his equipment. As plumbing goes, Mike encountered a little mess, but fortunately it only required some old newspaper, some paper towels, and a trash bag. After locating the line and running the camera down the pipe, Mike invited me to view the exciting event with him. After close inspection of the pipe he made recommendations and then presented me with a copy of the video for our Saturday evening entertainment. The entire process with Roto Rooter from start to finishe was smooth and easy and I would reconmmend them at anytime to anyone.
Overall, I was very pleased with the service that Roto Rooter provided. Scheduling the service was hassle-free. I called to schedule the appointment late in the afternoon on Tuesday, and Roto Rooter was able to schedule the main sewer line cleaning service for the following day. I received a courtesy call to confirm my appointment on the day of the service, and was given a specific time when Bill would arrive at our house. Bill was friendly, prompt, and cleaned our sewer line, freeing it of a lot of roots, in quick time. I would recommend Roto-Rooter, and appreciate their professionalism and excellent customer service.
Our sewer backed up into our basement one night, and Roto Rooter was there within the hour. They snaked the drains and opened the block. We had some more gurgeling from the drains a week later. When we called again, they came right over and redid the drains at no charge. But, what they found was that our pipes were corroded and broked. Jim & Carl spent the whole afternoon researching the problem and coming up with the best solution. They were both very professional, kind, outgoing, and showed exceptional customer service. That is extremely hard to find these days! Having them in my home was a pleasure.
Smart treatment with educated professionals. So many addiction programs seem to not care about their staff's training (I have been to a few)- the counselor's here know a ton about addiction treatment as well as the other mental disorders that are also there. I love how much I have learned- thought records, belief challenging, mindfulness, coping strategies, etc... I use these tools everyday in most every area of my life. I tell my co-workers about these tools, This treatment goes way beyond surfuce level and teaches people to cope with feelings/situations/relationships/etc, without using drugs.
I tried to fix my toilet myself and got into real trouble - could not finish the job and had water everwhere. I called Roto-Rooter at about 2pm and in just an hour Don showed up to help me. I was impressed with him - he looked like a business professional! not the typical plumber depicted in the old Saturday Night Live parody (Dan Akroyd). Dr. Galie was pretty much on schedule and her bedside manner was good. She took the time to listen and was understanding of my condition. I felt very confident with her assessment and advice. I also appreciated her office staff and the work they do. I had forgotten to ask a couple questions. I don't know what Dr. Adler the previous reviewer saw but I had completely the opposite experience. The office staff is extremely nice and helpful. Dr. Adler took his time with me and has gotten further toward helping me in 1 visit than the doctor's I have seen for the last 2 years. He was systematic with reviewing my symptoms and logical with suggestions regarding what I am dealing with. He is extremely down to earth and takes his time with his patients.
Three generations in my family have used Drs. Homer and Allison Nash. Dr. Homer was my doctor when I was a kid and he was the first doctor I thought of after a bad experience with another pediatrician. All my kids and grandchild go to this office now. My son is very comfortable with Allison even during "exams". Office staff is helpful and informative regarding policies and procedures for your child's health. Keep up the excellent work!
