I've gotten a few letters from Protection Direct or Program Headquarters (SPD), I think they go by both? They said something about expiring warranties, but I don't even own a car right now...so I dunno where they get their info. I looked them up and found a customer service email on their website (email@example.com) and asked to be removed from their list. Surprisingly I actually got an email back asking for my customer ID and saying I would be removed immediately.

When I needed to file a claim, the representative I spoke with was very helpful and got back to me the same day to let me know the repairs would be covered. The work was performed the next week and the rep even called back to check in and make sure I was satisfied. I appreciated the speedy service and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended!
So far I don't have any complaints about Protection Direct. I’ve only had good experiences with them. When the transmission on my 02 Mitsubishi Galant blew (something about the drive chain) they covered the repair with no problems. I wonder if they've recently changed management or something, since alot of the complaints i've read on other sites are back from '09.
