This retirement community offers independent housing for senior adults with limited resources. Founded more than 40 years ago as a nonprofit, its mission is to provide affordable, quality senior living in a caring, secure, diverse, and friendly atmosphere, honoring the Jewish tradition. Crown Center is located in a lovely, vibrant neighborhood in University City and serves 250 older adults. It has become a community center, as well, bringing programs, transportation, meals, social services, and activities to residents and older adults in the surrounding area. This is an outstanding value for the rental cost, and some residents see it as the best kept secret in low income senior housing in the area. You can take a virtual tour by visiting www.crowncenterstl.org.
When we lived in Saint Louis, we needed home care services. We tried two other services before we found Senior Helpers. They were heads and tales above the other two. What I liked best was that the owner was easily accessible and really had our best interests at heart. And our caregiver...virtually, became part of the family. If you're looking the best, look into Senior Helpers. I wish we would have found them before the others.
