Dr. Ragu is probally one of the last psychiatrists left in the area that at least try to treat his patients. He doesn't offer much to say in the form of counseling however listens to everything you say. The office in general has become all about the $$$ but I can not blame that on the Dr I believe it to be more his daughter that has taken over much of the business part. I was a little shocked by the previous poster as if they knew so much about what medicine they needed than why did they go to him in the first place as almost anything can be ordered online or given by a general practicing family doctor. I have never seen him try to take credit for "fixing" anything.... as is any mental health client ever really fixed. He doesn't talk enough to even say something like that. He listens to everything a client says and obviously should have stopped listening to this previous poster as they think they are thier own doctor treating themselves. He is professional and is well above the substandard care Riverwood gives clients. In a emergency he attempts to help his patients instead of not returning calls like many other area mental health treatment centers around Berrien County. As far as the other providers in the office, they script style give counseling that can be read out of a book checked out at the local library and the cost of the counseling there is absurb. I think this poster was a little to critical of a Dr that obviously tried his best to find the right medication, maybe he had reasons for not trying thier suggested medicine first.... its like going in there saying I want Adderall give me Adderall..... your the patient not the Doctor and some medicines are highly addictive. Bieng so judgemental why don't you use Saja who would truly just pill pop give you what you want and probally give you so much and mix and match enough crap to kill you. Re read your posting and remember at least he cared enough to listen and trial until a treatment was found that worked. Your probally using something off label use and thats why it wasn't tried first.
