Fordyce Manor Apartments

I lived here for about two years and overall, I don't regret it one bit. My place was cozy, my internet was good and the neighbors were friendly as far as I could tell (I keep to myself a lot).

Con:
The parking is kind of difficult given the size and set up of the lot. They have a system where everyone has a guaranteed spot for their unit but it seemed like a lot of the families that lived here had more than one car. There are guest spots but it wasn't uncommon to run out.

Pro:
There are double drywall barriers between each unit. I may have felt my neighbors walking around from time to time but I never could hear them, which is nice if you want privacy.

Con:
It can be kinda slow to get a hold of the management, I usually had to leave a message first. However, they usually got back to me really soon after.

Pro:
I could get to a gas station, grocery store, or a restaurant within 5 minutes to 10 minutes in any direction. Fordyce Manor is very central.

Con:
There was on occasion times where the management had to enter my apartment on short notice, but I can't think of a time where I wasn't notified at least a day in advance.

Pro:
Already kind of mentioned this but it's important to me. Both Charter and AT&T can be hooked up at fordyce manor. I work with software and enjoy video games in my free time so this is a big plus for me anyway.

Final thoughts:
I rented my appartment in 2015, and all the reviews were a little rough. I didn't have a choice though, I had to move into the area and after seeing the place and how it had been refurbished I took the risk. I'm damn glad I did though because I really enjoyed living here. I went through a really stressful time in my life while I lived here and it was a really great place to go home to. I give it my full recommendation.

One last thing:
I see a lot of reviews say you don't get your deposit back, but I got mine. I mean don't get me wrong, my girlfriend and I scrubbed and vacuumed every inch of the place.

Man I loved living here. It was quiet. Neighbors and mgmt didn't ever bother me. Only problem I did have was when I moved out after 4yrs of renting here they charged me for normal wear and tear....such as my neighbor toilet overflowing on thanksgiving ruined my carpet outside the 1/2 bathroom downstairs which was totally not my fault. Other than that again I loved it.

This place is a ripoff. The owners dont care about people just there money. Wont fix anything and if you complain about stuff needing fix they will find a way to put you out and keep your deposit. The owners charile hof and bridgett are conartist and fasely advertivise on complex. Example parking sucks, front doors were never updated, camera system doesnt work however they claim it does, basements leak when it rains, need i say more.

I lived in these town homes for 2 years. In that time my car was vandalized by another tenant, the manager and owner entered my unit without informing me before or after that they had entered (this happened multiple times and when I tried to get a hold of the manager to find out why they entered my unit he refused to take my calls), and was yelled at and degraded by the owner. Not to mention the fact that my autistic child was discriminated against by the owner as well as the manager. They accused my child of things that they had absolutly no proof of and basically told me that his social issued were the reason why they wanted to evict us (without a court order by the way, just tried to bully us into breaking our lease). When we refused to leave before our lease was us our unit was enter at leaset one more time without our being notified.



This place may look like a dream come true, but you will never have a moments peace. The manager is rude and lies to get you to do what he wants. And if you are expecting your security deposite back, think again. No one EVER gets their deposit back, regardless of the shape the unit is left in. The manager specifical told a tenant that once they buy paint and have the carpet cleaned the security deposit is all used up (they can not use your deposit to pay for normal wear and tear). The manager makes insane rules whenever he feels like and does not inform all of the tenants and then throws a hissy fit when people don t follow his stupid rules.
