Worst experience ever. Don't ever go here. Most unethical vet I've ever been too. Paid extra for local anesthesia and then had to listen to my dog cry bloodymurder in the back room for over 5 minutes. They obviously didn't give him anything. Other people in the office commented to me on how horrific the sound was and how terrible it was they they didn't give him anything. Then they charged me $40 to bandage the wound when the first bandage fell off as we walked out of the office (my dog didn't even touch the bandage for this to happen... just walked)!!!! Are you kidding?! And then the vet refused to come out an talk with us after she charged us twice what they committed to. $250 for a toenail. Don't ever see Dr. Cross. Be warned, the people at this place are not concerned about your pets well being.
I'll be going back to Cave Springs Vet Hospital - I recommend them 100%. Would have gone there if it weren't a last minute emergency.

Wonderful care for pets you love! We've been taking our two dogs to Dr. Clapper at Bogey Hills Animal Hospital for four years and wouldn't recommend anyone else. Our dogs have had some strange problems and Dr. Clapper has handled every one with excellent care and compassion. I can't say enough good things and would encourage everyone to go to Bogey Hills Animal Hospital.

BEST PET HEALH CARE IN SAINT CHARLES AREA !!!!! I cannot emphasize enough the heart felt care and support provided by the staff at Bogey Hills. I would give them 10 stars, if I could. For eight years, I have taken my best friend, Rosie there for her health needs and am always comfortable on how they care for Rosie's needs. If it wasn't for Dr. Clapper,DVM ~ I honestly couldn't be sure that Rosie would still be with me. She identified a serious illness for which she began treating Rosie and worked with me to provide comfort and understanding as I was a basket case initially. If you love your pet as much as I love mine, you can will be pleased with the treatment your little furry friend gets here. Rosie continues to be treated at Bogey Hills and I would not have it any other way. I know they will always have time for us when we really need them and thats important when your pet is sick and you feel helpless.

First time visit. Everyone was very friendly and very accomodating to my pets needs. They asked questions to find out as much as they could about my pet and provided the care/medications needed. Will definitely be back!

Bogey Hills Animal Hospital gets 5 stars in my book! I have seen Dr. Clapper and Dr. Cross more recently, but all the vets there are wonderful! They take their time getting to know your pet and explaining everything. Pricing is upfront, so there is no guess work. It is a very clean facility that is conveniently located. They have great hours and appointment availability is always easy.

After meeting with several different clinics and veterinarians around the St. louis area during my years of being an animal lover and owner I have never found a better place than Bogey Hills to take my pets. They have 4 doctors working in the clinic with experience ranging over 20 years, they all consult with each other over cases they might be questioning so you really get 4 vets for the price of one! The rest of the staff is also exceptional with 50% of them having more than 10yrs experience in the field. To top it off the also have a grooming dept. with more than 20yrs experience. You really get what you pay for in this industry and these guys will give you an estimate on any services recommended for your pet before they are performed. I have been to the clinics were they take your animal to the back do what they think is necessary then just hand you a bill- not fun! This is a great clinic that is at least worth a visit!

I went To Bogey Hills after asking several people who they would recommend. My First visit was great! However, I have several Pets and thought I could obtain a discount. I brought in 2 animals. 1 for yearly vaccinations and another for a cyst I wanted removed. My Older animal is outside inside and Dr. Clapper recommended a dental cleaning. My animal needed it because they did have tartar on their teeth. I previously had another animal that was older and had to have dental cleanings yearly. I’ve lived all over the United States. I’ve never paid more than 125.00 for a cleaning. However Dr. Clapper quoted an initial price of over $200.00 which really set me back. The small cyst removal was going to be over $400.00. The Cyst was about ½ the size of a pencil eraser. I actually consulted the previous Bogey Vet to see if they could use a local anesthesia for the cyst. That was not an option. During the dental cleaning, I was called, because they needed to extract a tooth. I stated to remove it if there were issues. When I went to pick up the animals there was an additional charge of another $100.00 for the tooth removal and antibiotics. The final bill for both was over $650.00. I understand about earning money and care. However my animal was already under anesthesia. When I was checking out even the receptionist stated, did you have to take out a second mortgage for this? This sounds judgmental. However, the tattoo and tongue piercing were not professional in my opinion. I really feel like I’ve overpaid. If you have one animal I would recommend Bogey Hills. However, know upfront what extra issues are.
