We are here to assess the needs of each individual person and strive to improve the quality of life for the individual by providing the following: nursing care to meet their medical needs, therapy to increase their independence, activities to encourage social interaction, dietary to promote improved nutrition, social services to be a resident advocate, and admissions to assist with financial questions.

We're caring for people. That is why we do things the way we do. At The Ponce we provide physical, speech & occupational therapy. We also provide orthopedic, stroke and cardiac recovery as well as respiratory management. Individualized care planning is provided for our residents as well.

        Overall

        I just spent 2 weeks at 'The Ponce' rehabbing from a real bad case of vertigo... I must say I was apprehensive about going into a nursing home, Leaving Baptist South hospital and being from New England, I was really surprised to find the place quite nice. My room was quite adequate, the staff were incredibly attentive, the food was bland yet tasty. The rehab was one to one, and I was coerced into the exercises the first time and found the place and team warm and encouraging. The building itself is 40 years old, but in great shape for a 40 year old building, warm and inviting, clean and no urine smell that I expected. The two weeks flew by and I'm now home with home care with PT, OT and nursing all set up by The Ponce. I've been recommending it ever since.. Al Williams#Expert#Good Facility#Very Professional
