I like to give my business to to mom and pop shops rather than going to a larger store. This has it's pro's and con's though. I bought my sofa the first wk in Sept,2010. Third week on Sept I called them to let them know that I was having difficulty with the reclining mechanism. It would stay down. From that day I have to say I that I was not happy with mom and pop. It just seemed as if I got pushed around about who was responsible for fixing my sofa. Well it's now 10/10/10 and the Representive for the sofa comes with the part that was ordered back in Sept. He didn't even use the part, because he stated that the wrong part was sent. I think that what I had a hard time dealing with was the fact that I had to be the one having to call and remind them about my broken sofa. No courtesy calls were made. I did however learn of every personal hardship the Rep, had gone through. Sometimes sellers need to remember that we as customers don't need to know all of the back office drama, we just want to hear that they are taking care of the issue. Will I go back? I don't think so, while they do have nice furnishings, there is a lack of professionalism. There was alot of passing the buck.
We live in TX so when shopping for new couches, we were weary of buying something online that we weren't able to physically see... We did some shopping around and decided on what we wanted. Its rare to find such a great group of people who can be counted on like the folks at Venice Furniture! Yana got us the living room set we wanted at a better price than anywhere else, got it to us on time, on the day they said they would and they were so helpful in getting everything set up as well!
