If you are talking about a wide selection of persian, arabic, greek, armenian products you need to stop by at this market, it has it all, this market is unique by every single item on their shelf, fresh, organized and well stocked very hard items to find and with very low price. I bought some fresh lamb and veil and WOW!!! very tender and clean and the price I couldn't beleive, 1 LBS of lamb is $3.99 and the Veil Ground is $3.79 extra lean. They got a wide selection of Feta and Olives and they do catering. I asked the owner what are these colorfull items on the shelf, and guss what they sell HOOKAH and WOW!!! they have very nice collection not that I smoke but the owner took some time explaning the stufff for me even though the place was very crowded. They got the best market in sacramento for 2006 and 2007. Also I noticed some appreciation certificate from the county for helping the youth aid.
Funky little store with loads of imported foods, especially spices - you can smell the curry as you cruise the aisles. I shop here occasionally to get a few items from New Zealand, my husband's home country. Sometimes what I want isn't in stock, hence 4 stars, but call first and ask. The owners are very friendly and willing to make a deal if you buy quantity, as I do. Okay, so I haven't been there in a few years, they moved and are now in a strip mall behind Long John Silver's on Northgate. Still smal, but much nicer building and well-stocked shelves....and I didn't smell spices this time....I still recommend calling first to see if they have what you want, or just go by and see what they have....New Zealand green mussels were in the freezer as was NZ butter, the best on the planet! (pricey, but Grocery Outlet doesn't get it very often, so if you're looking for a treat, Fiji Mart has it!
John and Helen are lovely people who take pride in welcoming their customers to their deli. They greet their regulars by name and ask after their co-workers. It's the Sacramento deli equivalent of Norm at Cheers. They offer decent fresh brewed coffee and espresso drinks for something fancier. The bagels, muffins, and Danish are from Costco. They make breakfast sandwiches that are ok and burritos that have nothing to do with Mexican cuisine but are yummy anyway. For lunch, you can't go wrong with a made-to-order sandwich, or the pre-made cold salads that hit the spot, too. And there is a different hot special every day (lasagna, enchiladas, etc.). The description of this business on YP isn't correct. This is a deli that serves breakfast and lunch. Not a tech company. They are open Monday thru Friday, 7am to 4pm.
