This is my favorite reasonably priced Japanese place to go to. I first went there about a week ago, and have been twice since. All of their meals are 5 to 6 bucks, which is very cheap for Japanese food. It definitely doesn't have the selection that a normal Japanese food restaurant would, but it also doesn't have the expensive prices either, and the food that they do have is actually really tasty. I doubt it would be for people that prefer the more traditional Japanese food restaurant, but for somebody looking for something tasty and cheap, this is the place! Plus the Asian lady that works behind the counter is hot.
My husband and I are some of the many people that are addicted to Mikuni's sushi. But one night I did not want to drive to Downtown Sac so we opted try Banzai just because it was walking distance from my house. There sushi is the best I have ever had and I am very picky about my sushi. The portions were HUGE, VERY TASTY and FRESH. We spent $40 and walked out of there stuffed, almost too stuffed to walk home. The restaurant is small, quaint, and perfect for a relaxing dinner with AWESOME SUSHI. Sorry Mikuni's this is my favorite place now.
My wife and I attended a birthday party at Mizu's Buffet in Sacramento (they also have one in Roseville). Finding it not hard to get there (short drive off I-80 East-towards Reno), we were greeted by a friendly hostess and joined the party. Having been to numerous Asian buffets from low to high-end, we found the selection and the quality of the food exceptional - so much we have scheduled a civic group meeting there for lunch. We were very impressed! We highly recommend Mizu's to anyone who enjoys quality seafood, Japanese AND Chinese food!
