102 excels not just because it stands out in downtown Ruston, or because it is better than most restaurants in Monroe or Shreveport (it could even be competitive in New Orleans), but because the ambiance, menu, and top-notch service offer something Ruston has never had - something worth leaving the house for. The sushi is surprisingly fresh, and the wine list is the longest for miles around. Try the Filet or the Duck, both are the best you'll eat in North Louisiana. The desserts leave something to be desired, but considering there is no full-time pastry chef, they beat anything else Ruston has to offer.
