Southwind Animal Hospital

I was so excited to find this place and Dr. Key! I was super impressed with everything, from the greeting when I walked in the door, to the aftercare instructions when my baby Siggy came home. I am referring everyone I meet to Southwind!!!

I took my puppy to this clinic to be neutered. The procedure seemed to go fine until his stomach began to swell. I called in concern and was told that swelling was normal. When it didn't go down I took him back into the clinic. The vet gave me a cream to put on him and claimed that it was just a spider bite. As I was leaving, her husband who worked in the front told me that he was sorry about the technician and that she was fired for what she had done to my puppy. The vet had lied to me and said he had a spider bite when he had actually been left under a heating lamp for too long and had 2nd degree burns. It has been months and he is still hairless in that spot. He was in pain for days because they did not immediately treat their mistake. I will never take my pets here again.

I looked just about everywhere for a vet once I moved here. I came to see Dr. Key at Southwind, and I could not be happier with the friendliness, clenliness (sp?) and how much they take time to explain everything (and I can understand it!) My dog, Sophie loves to go there and her bladder infection has not come back! I am trying to get all my friends to take their animals there!

I've had my dog to this clinic over a 3 month period suffering from iching and hair loss, the so called doctor told me the dog has food alergies and suggested a raw diet, after spending a ton of money on food and other medications my dog did not get any better, I took the dog to another vet and they found the dog had mange (sp) and gave us some medication, and a dip, now after the medication is done, the dog does not suffer from any iching or any food alergies, this dog eats the same cheep food all my ohter dogs eat. please be careful if you take your dog to this clinc, these people don't have a clue.

Dr. Keys is wonderful. She takes the time to give you all the options for your animals. Her and her staff are all very friendly. The prices are very reasonable.
