I have cared for animals for more than 30years,and this hospital is 1 of the top 5on my list.They are knowledgable,caring ,and AFFORDABLE.If you take your pet in on a routine schedule, the office staff run by supervisor"Gina" do it with efficency &care.If you rush in with emergency status for your loved one,the efficency level&care are DOUBLED.Their pricing is far more affordable than any other place I've eithered call or tried.If Gina can apply a coupon or discount,she will.Dr.Sargious with newly acquired Dr.Grittent is knowledgable and both have a "can do,will do"best outcome for your pet.I have 4 dogs.1 at 3mons.old had the deadly disease"parvo".We took him to 2other hospitals, thery said"$1,500.+"only a maybe"that the dog would survive.On a referral,I dashed "Tanner" out to this place.They said "$600,}+come back to pick him up to go home in 4days"I replied"are you sure?"they repeated their instructions.I left their scratching my head,wondering just how much of a RIPOFF those other 2places were, OR did this place really knew what they were doing?Enough to forfeit 1months rent on my houset.for the dog to receive treatment.Well, that was 11/2yrs.ago, "Tanner" is 100% healthy w/NO setbacks,no side effects.Which is a huge deal when dealing with Parvo.Yeah,I would recomend this place whole heartedly.2THUMBS UP FOR THE DOCTORS AND THEIR STAFF AT COLIMA ANIMAL HOSPITAL......p.s.I DONOT work their, nor affliated w/them by any way including not related to them by blood.just a animal lover who found a great place for her animals to be treated and cared for!

I have taken my puppy there for the past 6 months. I've never had any problems with them until now. She had an ear infection and needed the hairs pulled out from her ears. The doctor seemed really busy and only examined her for five minutes then left the room. He seemed to not have time to answer all my questions or elaborate on what needed to be done for my puppy. When I came to pick her up, they told me they had sedated her, but said they should have called me, but didn't get the chance to. I was very upset that they had sedated her without my consent or even bothered to tell me! Then, they made me pay $25 for the sedation that I didn't even consent to! They gave me steroids to give her to stop the swelling. A day later I started to notice she was relieving herself everywhere around my house. She's completely house trained, so I was confused.Two weeks later, I had taken my puppy for a spaying at a non-profit animal clinic and the surgeon that had performed on her noted that the dosage of steroids she was given was TOO HIGH for her and it was very surprising for him that my vet had prescribed her such a high dosage! Three of the staff at the clinic had examined her before the surgeon did and said the same thing. Which explains why she was dehydrated and relieved herself everywhere she could. I was extremely upset that the staff at Colima Animal Hospital had sedated her without my consent, then made me pay for it, then gave her such a high prescription. Completely unprofessional.They did not take the time to thoroughly examine her or offer any alternatives to how to medically care for my pet. I strongly feel they try to take as much money as they can from concerned pet owners who only want the best for their pets. Please take your pets elsewhere where the staff is diligent, caring, professional, and actually care about the animals, not about gaining money.
