Didnt get to try the food on Mothers Day. We waited for our order for over an hour, and watched people come in after us and eat and leave. They were under staffed and the owner didn't even come over to apoligize after we called for the check. I don't think i would ever go back or recommend this resturant to a friend.
I've been here in the past and ordered off the menu and it's always been good. However, today I was craving a roll with specific ingredients. I stopped in and asked if I could custom order a roll. They were happy to do it and it was exactly what I was in the mood for. Not only great service and atmosphere, but flexibility! I will definitely visit again when I get my next sushi craving. You have taken the extra step to gain my business!
My first visit was with a client who is a regular. The quality of the food was beyond my expectations and the talent of the chef was very obvious. I am going back, soon and often. I felt the pricing was very reasonable. The only negative thing I could say is that now it will be hard for me to go to my local "take away" place after experiencing the perfect combination of flavor and food quality I have experienced here. Go, find out for yourselves.....The Birdman.

We went to this Tokyo Steak House in Round Rock on Sept. 6, 2008. The place looked very beautiful inside out. The menu starting about $11-40. When we ordered 3 dishes, it took 30 minutes for the first dish, 10 minutes 2nd dish, another 10 minutes for the last dish. When we were served, they gave us a broken bowl. A broken bowl, it's a expensive and fancy restaurant. Why? A service also was very bad. It took 30 minutes for my waitress to refill my water. If it's busy, it's understandable. The place was not even busy at the time. Please beware of this restaurant.

Any one who has ever had the opportunity to meet Phoenix Pai, Owner of Tokyo Steakhouse, knows that you will be forever a friend, treated with the utmost hospitality, and respect. She really roles the red carpet out for patrons who become dear and everlasting friends. The food is always top quality, and cooked with perfection, and interesting details from an array of a menu created by Phoenix herself! You will be happy you visited and ask for Phoenix. You don't want to miss that beautiful smile!!!

I tried this place over the weekend after stopping in the Firebowl Cafe and deciding to leave because their AC wasn't working. I would have much rather suffered in the heat to have a better meal at a much lower price than I had at the Tokyo Steakhouse. We started with the Kani Rolls, which were not that impressive... I had the Chicken Udon and my girlfriend had a chicken and noddle plate (can't recall the name). Both had little flavor and were of the taste and quailty fo Ramen noodles... The chicken was extremly bland in both dishes. There was the nice little surprise of a free dish of ice cream for each of us after our meals, but that did not compensate for the poor taste and high price (we could have had similar dishes at the Fire Bowl Cafe for around $7-$8 a piece rather than the $12 per dish that we paid). There are much better places to go for a simialr (or better) experince in the Austin area.

I visited an awesome restaurant like this in austin on 183 so I decided to try Tokyo since it is closer to my house. I was so disappointed!
After reading the reviews I figured it would be the same or even better, but I was wrong. I am an older man and expect to be treated with a little bit of respect. The server was mean and rude and the cook was even worse. It took FOREVER for the cook to come out and cook. My food was bland and he couldn't throw food into anyone's mouth. My steak tasted like it was steamed and not seared along with it being tough. I am not comming back here ever again.
