The beer selection is just awesome.

The beer selection is just awesome. By far the best in the area(except for Flix nextdoor). Losts of local craft brews as well as notable beers from around the country. The food is great too and I appreciate that we can get a great meal and a good beer with the toddler in tow.

    Not the best but...................

They don't have Harp on tap!!!!! But they have Guinness. I like the mediterranean flatbread. What I'm finiding with these guys is if you don't like it on the menu they will try and make it to your liking. I like that in a restaurant. The service is always friendly. Just a hint, I think the fries are better if you order them extra crispy!

WE DO NOT AGREE AT ALL - with negative report

    Provided by

Have eaten here many times. Great food ... Great service ... and yes and med. on the pricing BUT it is worth it. My husband is so stuck on salmon ... and he loves it here. I have had several of the salads and they are great. When they brought my son and hubbies meal ... and my cobb salad was not there the management did not charge for the salad. They were apologitic. We have taken in as many as 8 people ... the result is always the same. BTW: We took a birthday party here for TWINS. They comped us not one but two desserts of our choice. To me this is great ... never has a resterant offered this. My husb. - son - and myself are all within the 2 week period of August. They always say - No one per table. SO THIS PLACE GETS A GOOD REVIEW FROM US.

    1/4 burger

About the size and taste of a hockey puke. Biscuit size bun. What is this thing?

    Yum!

My husband, my toddler and I went. We got the fried pickles which were very very good. They had a good kid menu. What I really loved was my burger. It is hard to find a good juicy burger in Austin. I have lived here my whole life and this place wins! I added cheese and grilled pineapple to my burger, and had a side of sweet potato fries. My husband had a burger as well with the curly fries. We were very pleased with our meal and service. So much to look at too. Plan to return. :)

Imaginative Art and More Family than Bar

    Provided by

Neat place. Don't miss the art work--specifically the Boston Fenway Park Ivy complete with Where's Waldo baseball and Praying Mantis, others camophlaged in, that was done by a local artist. We were curious and finally asked and its Carol Hawkins in Austin. Home Field is unlike all the other franchises that permeate RR and well worth the experience for food, fun and feast for the eyes!

Great food, and we can't wait to go back!

    Provided by

My wife and I live in the far north Austin/Round Rock area, and we decided to try this place for lunch on a whim. We were so please to find this modern take on the usual sports bar dive. We started with the beer battered fried pickles. While we both liked the overall taste, I would've wanted a little more crunch on them. My wife ordered the BLT, and I ordered a burger with bacon, cheese, & jalapenos. My wife absolutely love her sandwich, especially the basil mayo. My burger was so wonderful, it didn't even need the offered mayo or mustard. Next time, I'll probably leave off the jalapenos, since it added a little too much spice because the burger was already seasoned enough. We can't wait to tell our family and friends about this place. We'll definitely be going back!

    Not Worth The Money

    Provided by

We just returned from our first visit to Home Field and let's just say we were unhappy with our experience. First, they brought our entree out with our salads. That always bugs me!! Why in the world do restaurants make such a novice mistake?? Then when our entree came out, it was less than satisfying. While the beef tips sounded good, they were served over bowtie pasta and grilled onions in a soupy mess. Most importantly, the beef tips were both tough and pretty flavorless. On top of all that, the bill was $42 ($49 with tip) and MY WIFE AND I EVEN SPLIT THE ENTREE AND DID NOT DRINK ALCOHOL . We did have desert (also less than satisfying) which we tried since our main meal was so disappointing. But this, too, was pretty disappointing.... I know this is a sports bar, but they are set up with a nice sounding menu. Maybe it was too much to ask to try to get anything other than a burger, which, if we ever return, we will probably try... My wife put it best on the way home:""I feel like I opened the window and threw away fifty dollars!"" If you want good food at a sports bar, I highly recommend COVER 3!! It's expensive, but at least you get what you pay for!

    Don't waste your money!

I placed a to-go order to be picked up after my 12 hr shift. I don't usually spend $14 for a to-go order but I thought I would splurge (it was just a regular order - chicken fried steak - nothing else). when I placed my order the girl read it back incorrectly. I corrected the error and she said ""yea, that's what i meant"" I got home with my order and it was incorrect. I live in austin and it was after 8:00pm, I worked a 12 hr shift, I was not driving back to Round Rock. I asked for homefield gravy on the side and what I got was jalapeno gravy poured all over my steak which was on top of the vegetables so that everything had jalapeno gravy on it. I can not eat jalapeno's so I was not able to eat any of the food. when I saw that my order was not correct, I called the restaurant. The girl that answered the phone said that all the managers were too busy and she would have one of them call me back - never happened. I called again every day for 7 days. No one could talk to me that could compensate the error. I got the run around, the promise of a call from the general manager - nothing ever happened. I don't know if Nolan Ryan is aware of what his name is attached to. I have read other reviews of incorrect orders and the management not wanting to do anything about it. I think this place is going to be ruined due to its' lack of customer service! I will not recommend this place to anyone.

    Really good! Quality ingredients.

My husband and I tried Homefield Grill for the first time today at lunch. We were very impressed. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable, but also a bit upscale (which I appreciate)! Husband had the scollps which were cooked very well. The mango sauce and gastrique set-off the sweetness of the scallops very well. I had the vegetarian Flamethrower Pizza. Loved the number of vegetarian selections on the menu overall. I will definitely be back for the pizza, but may request a lighter olive oil drizzle next time. (It was kinda pooling on my plate). Service was excellent and not rushed. We'll be back.

    don't bother

Nice clean establishment but on a slow evening picked up take-out order, only 3 orders placed, 1 of which was incorrect. After making a phone call to inform of wrong order, I was told that what I ordered is not on the menu. Well then the staff should check out the menu online. NO THANK YOU!!! Save your money and time.

    NOT your typical Sports bar

    Provided by

Great food! This place was a cut way above your typical bar food. We highly recommend the filet and the scallops, both were melt in your mouth good! \r Our server Kari was very knowledgable about everything - the food we ordered as well as the entire wine and beer selection on the menu. She was Awesome! \r We will definitely be back soon and often.

    short staffed

    Provided by

My family and I ate at Homefield Grill and we were very disappointed in their attentiveness to us. We were seatied quickly which was nice but it felt like we were at the doctor's office. They got us in only to wait 10-15 min to have our order taken. \r \r It was like 10 minutes for the waiter to get us drinks,, another 15 minutes for our food. So for those of you who come hungry, bring your own appetizer cause you will be waiting. \r \r To make matters worse, the waiter NEVER came by to give us refills. I asked for some condiments, never got that so another staff member made eye contact with me and asked me if I needed anything. He fulfilled my request. Unfortunately, I asked for a specific kind and that request went ignored by him too.\r \r We didn't even bother to go to the game room. There was no excitement in the waiter's eyes or voice. He wasn't helpful or enticing. Just blah.\r \r He got the order right but took did not come back to check on us to see if we needed anything. He must be new to being a waiter. My tip reflected it.\r \r We will not be visiting this place again anytime soon. We were very disappointed in their customer service but the food was tasty.

Maybe they need to work out the kinks?

    Provided by

My husband and I were excited to try this place. The place is huge and had a great menu - that we looked at online before we headed over there. We chose to sit in the bar area (where you can also dine) b/c that was the only booth available. After waiting for 15 minutes for a waitress to take our drink orders, we waited for another 15 and she had not returned with them. So after 30 minutes with nothing, we decided to get up and leave. We let a manager know on the way out why we were leaving and he apologized but it was too late. I don't think we will return. Hopefully they can work the kinks out.

So Excited about this place we will be regulars!

    Provided by

Me and my husband and my daughter went here for the first time tonight. I had the stacker sandwich and it was HUGE! My husband had the pizza that I could watch as the chef prepared it and my daughter had a kids meal that could feed an adult!\r \r I loved the hostess cheerleaders and I like the fact that the restaurant side of the place is so quiet and romantic. The game room looked awesome, (too bad our daughter was too tired to go in) and the bar was very upscale.\r \r Gosh, I wish I could remember the waitress who served us, but she was Blonde and full of smiles and was very sweet.\r \r We will definately come back at least once a week, this is a one of a kind place in Round Rock. I am sure business will boom in the next few months since is just opened. Now we can't wait for football season so we can watch the games.\r \r Oh, not to mention, we spent about $25 on a dinner for 3 and still had leftovers to take home with us (which I am eating now!) haha\r \r LOVED IT!!!!!

    Fantastic Place

    Provided by

I recently went to the HomeField Grill and just loved it. I had the pizza and my date had the Salmon. I don't know what I liked more. We began with the fried pickles and ended with the ice cream on our way out after playing games. I had so much fun and felt like a kid again. I will definitely go again. There is something for everyone.

    Great Burgers in Round Rock

    Provided by

What a great place to kick back and watch the game. Plenty of TV and plenty of room. It is about time Round Rock got a place like this. I ordered the Burger. It was good. the fries were cold, but I expected this from a new kitchen. Once they get all the kinks out ( like the token machine in the game room working ), it is going to be a good place to hang out. I will be back, count me in !!
