Dental Examination
To save you time on your visit, you can view several forms and fill them out in advance. That allows us to get to your child’s dental exam quickly.
X-rays
Dental X-rays do so much more than just detect cavities. Pediatric dentists use X-rays to help them see how your child’s teeth are developing and erupting, diagnose bone disease, evaluate an injury or plan orthodontic treatment. Dental Sealants
During your child’s bi-annual visit, our professional dental hygienists or assistants will perform your child’s routine cleanings. These regularly scheduled cleanings act as a discovery opportunity as our team follows the “tell, show, do” model with your child. This involves our team discussing each instrument and showing them each part of the process. This allows your child to become comfortable with the process and what optimal oral hygiene looks like. We’ll also take this time to recommend special preventative treatments, such as fluoride and sealants, that will benefit your child’s health.

Fillings
Because of their natural look, tooth-colored fillings are now used more often than silver or gold fillings. In addition to being cosmetically pleasing, some tooth-colored fillings contain materials that release fluoride, protecting the filling from further decay. Patients love leaving the office with a bright, white smile that will keep their mouth healthy long term!
Resin Composite
The main purpose of a dental filling is to restore your child’s tooth back to its optimal state and chewing function. Getting a dental filling is not preferred, but sometimes it is necessary to preserve the overall health and function of your child’s mouth. A filling allows your child’s dentist to clean out the decayed matter and fill it with a non-toxic composite resin, gold, silver, or porcelain to preserve the tooth and keep your kid smiling!
Crowns
A dental crown is a restoration that covers or “caps” a tooth, restoring it to its normal size and shape while strengthening and protecting it from further cracking or breakage.
