I was treated to a spa mani-pedi by a friend. Julie, the owner/manager, did my nails and one of her assistants did the spa manicure. Seated in a massage chair during the process, I felt like royalty. Julie is friendly but not intrusive or chatty. The salon (inside a hair salon) is clean, bright and well-kept. Clearly, they clean and sanitize everything between customers and give you a little bag with your own brand new buffer and file to bring to future appointments...a very nice touch! My fingernails lasted 2 weeks and my toenails lasted over 3 weeks before needing any touch-up. I went back for a manicure, and a gentlemen (Julie's husband, I think) did my nails. He was fast, thorough and very sweet. The hand massage was incredible and worth the price alone! Not sure if it's the top coat or the UV nail dryer that makes the manicure last so long, but it was well over 2 weeks before my polish showed ANY wear. That's TWICE in a row, so I am hooked. Home manicures chip after 3 days. This place is comfortable, friendly without being over-bearing, neat and clean, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend (and I am a picky person)! =)
Trikee Tack is staffed with very friendly and super knowledgeable people. I shop here for supplies for my tiny flock of chickens, and the price for feed is much better than other stores I've visited (the quality of the product is better as well). If you have any questions about what products might be best, there is always someone on sight who can answer you. And they always have the best interest of the animals in mind. For instance, they do not sell baby chicks until after Easter so that they know they won't be given as temporary, cutesy gifts, but will go to homes where people are ready and prepared to take care of them properly. They also will only sell chicks in sets of 3, as they are meant to be flock animals. I love the integrity of these policies, and I will happily continue to support this shop because of them.
Good groupon deal! I purchased a groupon for $15 for 1 gel manicure (valued at $30). It was my first time in the salon. It wasn't super fancy or anything, but the girl who did my n ails (Janette) was really nice and pretty careful and detailed. They had a large selection (20-30) colors to choose from for my gel manicure. Doing gel is generally more expensive, but worht it because it's not supposed to chip, so it should last at least 2 weeks. Plus, it looks super shiny! There's a parking lot down the street and some street parking. The location is in the cute Kenneth village. My review is only for the manicure and not for other salon services.
