Kevin Hansen, M. D. was born in San Francisco, CA and raised in the central valley town of Merced. He completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University, with a two year hiatus as a missionary in Venezuela. Dr. Hansen then attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine where he completed his MD degree. He then returned to California for his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery which he performed at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Upon completion Dr. Hansen was honored to accept a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine through UC San Diego. While there he provided care for athletes from all the major sports teams- including the San Diego Padres, San Diego State Aztecs, and UC San Diego Tritons. His fellowship experience provided him extensive training in the treatment of athletes and specific focus on reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee.

She continued her basketball career at Claremont McKenna College where she earned a B.A. in Neuroscience andÂ completed a senior thesis on gait stability in the elderly using noise perturbations. It was her senior thesis and familiarity with foot and ankle sports injuriesÂ that lead her to a career in podiatric medicine. Â She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, CAÂ and completed her surgical residency at the Kaiser San Francisco Bay Area Foot & Ankle Residency Program (Kaiser Oakland, San Francisco, Walnut Creek,Â and Antioch Medical Centers) where she was selected Chief Resident during her final year of residency and was also given the opportunity to travel toÂ Vietnam for a medical mission.Â
