Rockville Centre Taxi

This might be the worst experience I've ever had with a cab company. It used to be good. In the last six months I've had my son 55 mins late to a regents exam and 3 other times over an hour wait when they tell you 10-15 mins. Missed doctor appointment last week. I hope they all die. Not kidding

TThis place is beyond a joke. I live in rvc n my friend has been using them to get back n forth from rvc to lynbrook, where he lives and only 1 time they actually came right away. They have told my friend OK 10 min & then 45min later, an hour later etc. No show. I call back for him n they say ohh sorry driver had pickup/dropoff 1st or got held up w customer etc...all lame xcuses...So tonite was my FINAL BREAKING POINT....HE CALLED at 100 & it's now 235 n no cab...I just called taxi n asked for manager & of course no manager n I freaked on the guy....I said how dare u call urself a business when u have done this 9 outta 10 times... U don't even call or text to let person know to just hang tight n give a time that's actually true? If roles were reversed...n cab was here n friend wasnsr standing outside they blast horn n give attitur that he wasn't sitting outside waiting. Unbelievable....I said what's up w ur company? HIS ANSWER WAS...OH MY DRIVER FORGOT BUT HE WILL B THERE SOON I said r u joking? Maybe u need to get new drivers....I told him I'm calling the main all island taxi n BBB n whoever else I can n he hung up on Me b4 I can even finish...ALSO ANY1 WHO READS THIS JUST KNOW THAT I NEVER COMPLAIN OR WOULD EVER WASTE MY TIME dealing w this but this is total joke n I'm really doing this n hoping sum1 reads it. PLEAZR FOR Ur own sanity, call lynbrook or baldwin n its worth the extra 3-5$

This business is a joke plain and simple.



The management seems as if they are nice people who want to run a noble business but when you get into the car, the drivers are a totally different story.They want lots of money and will have absolutely no problem charging you more then what management may have told you in the office. Its either that there is an extreme lack of communication or these drivers are jerks who take advantage of people who are stranded at the train station in the middle of the night.



This ultimately brings me to last night and the reason why I'm even wasting my time writng a review for a small taxi business.



I was getting off the train and it was around 4:00am following a fun night at a concert. I was with a whole crew of friends, most of them had rthier cars but my girlfriend and her friend were stuck taking a cab. I figured I'd take the ride with them for a. some company in a taxi and b.because these were two 18 year old girls in a taxi at 4:00am. When we got to the small office, the management asked where we were going and gave us a price. It was going to be $20 to drop off the two grls at my girlfrends house around the block and my house just in Oceanside. We got into the car and immediately the driver is acting as if he does'nt understand the price and making it completely complicated. eventually he starts making up his own numbers claiming that we owe hime $26. Realizing what was going on I had asked him to call up the office and ask the price. He was reassured of the simple price we agreed on at the office. When we arrived around the block at my girlfriends house, I said good bye to them and they left the car. The driver turned around and said, "what are you doing"? I answered "taking my taxi ride home" with a curious look. The driver turned upset and said no no no i was not supposed to drive you to oceanside! It was $20 to drop you all off here and it would cost another $10 to take you home this is not right. I told him the management gave me the price and he said that the guy in the office was "new". I told hime to let me out of the car because it was 4:00am and I just wanted to go to sleep and i was becoming very irrirtable and very angry. I threw the $20 in the front and was now stuck walking from Lincoln ave to my house near Oceanside High School. Starting my walk, I realized that this was completely ridiculous and called the office. I flipped out and explained that the driver was unproffesional and a shyster with no ethics at all to leave an 18 year old walking home at 4:00am. The management agreed and sent me a new car that picked me up as I walked. It was now 5:00am and that concluded my one hour trip from the RVC train station to my house in Oceanside thanks to this excuse of a business.



In short, I paid the last driver $20 to be driven out of the car around the block from where we started.



The moral of this story and the ultimate theme is to simply... find a ride home bucause that taxi is a taxi from hell.

Terrible service as always

They charged me 50 bucks to JFK from Oceanside, then they hit me up for a 5 dollar fuel surcharge. What the 50 bucks for?? Then they charged me an additional 20% manditory tip. The Guy didn't even get out of the damn car to take the bags out of the trunk. Choose elswhere 4 a better deal !!!
